KATE Beckinsale has revealed the secret of her happy marriage — she spies on her hubby with a webcam.

The 31-year-old Van Helsing star says she uses the internet device whenever director Len Wiseman is on location.

British beauty Kate said: “He’s away a lot at the moment. And we’ve just discovered the internet check camera and that has solved everything.

"We go to bed together every night, we wake up in the morning together. It has revolutionised my life.”

Kate Beckinsale is planning to quit her acting career and go back to university and become a doctor.

Beckinsale, 31, has featured in such films as The Aviator, Van Helsing, Serendipity and Pearl Harbour. However, her acting career took off in 1993 while she was working towards a medicine degree at Oxford University.

The actress now wishes that she had stuck with her studies and so is increasingly tempted to return to university with a view to becoming a doctor.

She says: "I'm thinking that, after this year, I might not act any more.

"I found the whole movie star thing very shocking and not really what I was after. I am quite interested in becoming a doctor.

"I'm a geeky academic, really. I am interested in writing as well. I might do some theatre.

"I want to find a way of keeping myself interested and stimulated and happy. I like acting so much, but I don't like the other stuff that goes with it as much.I am thinking I might go back to school. I am just going to see how it goes."
