I'm not heavily into Yu-Gi-Oh, but I have some fond childhood memories of playing Yu-Gi-Oh and watching the show on Saturdays mornings.

RIP Kazuki Takahashi.

RIP Kazuki Takahashi.

Yu-Gi-Oh was never really my thing, but I did get convinced by a friend to get the starter pack and did sometimes watch the TV show.

It’s weird, I actually just got back into the card game after trying Master Duel, because I figured if I was going to spend any money on it it may as well be the real cards. And also I finally have other people to play against irl.

Now this happens. RIP. Bought a few cards (after seeing the news) that he personally did the art for because they’re nice and I’m thinking they’re going to go up in value pretty soon. Hopefully his family are doing alright all things considered.

RIP, Yu-Gi-Oh was part of my childhood. Bought the cards, read the manga from Shonen Jump, watched the anime, though the manga was much darker btw.

The shadow games felt very Squid Game -esque and it was amazing.

I enjoyed the cards because it told a story between them like Pot of Greed. Each card had some connective tissues in the narrative that compared with other cards painted a bigger picture. Its similar to Dark Souls how you have to piece together the narrative and lore through the item descriptions etc, this is the same but with the card art for example: Pot of Greed. It made collecting all the cards the much better as you were collecting pages of a story.

I loved Yu-Gi-Oh, even bought the whole season from Amazon as it was an exclusive.
This series made such a huge impact for me.

RIP. Like many people here, Yu-Gi-Oh was a part of my childhood too. People should post their favourite cards in his honour. Mine was probably Royal Decree, I will post more that come to mind.

I was never into Pokémon or Yu Gi Oh. Or just any card collecting type of stuff. But this absolutely sucks. When people who created something amazing for someone for so many years its very unfortunate too see them leave this place.

I hope the guy will find peace wherever he has went.

honestly wasn't that into the card game, but the manga was still a fun read. his influence of course is undeniable and his talent will be missed by many. RIP

Rip. Wasn't a fan at all of Yu-Gi-Oh but I hate to see someone die young. Especially those who impacted so many in a positive way.

RIP ☹️

The one thing that got me mad about Yu Gi Oh was that Yugi never through that little pest overboard that stole and discarded his Exodia in the Ocean.

RIP to an absolute legend.

Yu Gi Oh was a huge thing in my childhood. The anime, cards, games. Especially Forbidden Memories on psone. Despite having none of the actual card game rules I adore it the most out of all yugioh games to this day.

Rip. Yu-Gi-Oh was great and much of my childhood. Heck I still watch the show from time to time though I long since sold my cards.

The other day I was remembering duelist of the roses for PS2 wanting to re play it
