...what the fuck.

Seeing this thread has made me wonder what other songs have been on these collections, aside from the normal bubblegum pop shit.

I was familiar with the CDs, and for those who aren't, they are just what this example shows. Little kids singing pop songs, which are often about fucking, drugs, and/or fucking while on drugs. Which is creepy in its own right.

So I went out and looked for the track lists of the other sets. On the fifth, they did a song which is so bad that the Kidz Bop version must actually be an improvement over the original.

It simply must.

Either that, or it is so bad that it will cause the listener to convulse wildly and seize until a smile is permanently affixed to their face.

That song is...

Trapt's "Headstrong".

Somebody braver than I surely will hunt this song down and listen to it.

Kidz Bob records are weird. There's a lot of bubblegum pop in there, but there's also some really questionable stuff that is put on the CD as far as subject matter goes. I wouldn't want kids of mine to be singing some of those songs at their age.

I'd listen to a Kidz Bop version of Cowboy Dan.

I'd love to hear the Kidz Bop version of Evanescene's "Bring Me To Life".

EDIT: Having listened to this version of Float On, I'm thinking this would be perfect for a Donkey Konga expansion park.

How to ruin a great song: Allow Kidz Bop covering it.

God. I would not have my kids listening to these CDs. All these Maroon 5 sexually charged songs and shit. Jesus Christ.

I want to hear a Kidz Bop cover of Closer by Nine Inch Nails though.

I can imagine it now.

I want to love you like an animal ("LIKE A PUPPY DOG" kids yell in background)

Maybe it's just because i've never heard Modest Mouse, but i prefer Smoosh more.

I'm amazed you know who Smoosh is, yet you've never heard Modest Mouse. If you live in the Seattle area, then maybe... no wait, that makes even less sense.
