Police in Chile are searching for a teenager who bit his girlfriend's lower lip off after she finished their relationship.

The teenager from San Fernando asked his girlfriend for a farewell kiss.

He then bit off her lip and spat it on the ground before running away.

His 16-year-old girlfriend was left bloodied and severely distressed.

According to the La Cuarta newspaper, the girl decided on the split partly because he was a bad kisser.

Police say they're confident they'll find the boy concerned.
