This one is based on a book. The worst thing about it is apparently the pacing, which might not be an issue for a movie..

Well, Old was based on a graphic novel and still had shit writing.
Still, I feel he made a respectable comeback with The Visit and Split. Even Glass I felt was just okay. And hell, even when he makes a bad film, it’s still memorable for other reasons.

Directors don't get any more hit-or-miss than this guy.
Sixth Sense, Unbreakable, Signs and Split are great.
The Happening, Last Airbender, Glass and Old are absolutely fucking awful.
The Village was fine up until the terrible twist.
I haven't seen the rest.

A hack is someone who can perform the basics of their trade but has no special talent. You disagreeing with Bautista on social issues doesn't make him a hack. So no, you did not use it correctly.
How expensive could this film be? Looks to be entirely that cabin set.
"Horror" thrives on low budget. Alas, it usually means the script or the gore/boobs are doing the heavy lifting and I'm not confident we will see either here.

Hes my least favorite casted character in the entire HP film series. Worst actor too.
The trailers always evoke a good eeriness for his films but i have no interest in this guys stuff anymore. Peele is the new m night, but even his stuff is too on the nose/twist forced for me personally. Hope he doesnt follow shamas rabbit hole as a director. Thought shama’s first, most notable films were stronger than peeles even.

I enjoy watching Shyamalan movies even if they're pretty bad but please sweet baby Jesus, let it not be as bad as Old was. Bautista's role looks like it's perfect for him btw, he looks like an well intentioned giant that may or may not be completely fucking crazy which is the scariest part. There are definitely layers to his character.
Split is a good fucking movie that had an amazing performance by Mcavoy.

This feels like one of those "Way too much is revealed in the trailer" movies.
Will probably watch anyways, Bautista has great screen presence and M Night IS a bit of a hack but his movies entertain.. and in the end, despite not really nailing his genre(s) that's what we are here for.. TO BE ENTERTAINED.

I'm willing to give it a chance for Bautista. man had put out some great performance in non-Marvel films so I won't mind seeing him in more stuff. Shyamalan on the other hand sure is very hit or miss, but I'm willing to give him a chance thou just because of the ones that hits usually are really to my liking.

The first half of this trailer made me think Shyamalan was attempting to make his own Tarantino-style movie. The second half of the trailer made me sad that he's making another Shyamalan film. I really wanted the first sentence to be true.
