I haven't tried MythTV (too lazy) but I do use Freevo as my Linux-based DVR manager. It's actually more of a "platform" on which you can build all kinds of functionality. I have emulators installed, so it records TV and plays games. You can have it manage your music and DVDs too. Neat stuff.

Yeah, MythTV has a MAME emulator built in, you're able to read RSS feeds, watch videos off an optical drive, and a few other options. I just want to see if it'll run well, and if not what I could buy that would make it decent enough to use.
