Konami to publish Remote Control Dandy SF?!

Joygasm!

I really hope this game see's a release in the US. Please Konami, please baby - please. I'll lie and say I never meant all those bad things I said about Hideous Kojima ruining games. :P

The Magicbox has screens.

I just hope they don't use the dumbed down Resident Evil style controls they used in Tetsujin 28. That really ruined the sense of controlling a towering metal robot.

Come on, if they'll release crap like Phantom Crash S.L.A.I. here, they'd better release Remote Control Dandy SF. Sequel to one of the best Playstation games you never played.

w00t! w00t!

Damn, I really need to sit down and play RCD. I bought a copy in Japan and haven't had the chance to play it yet.

The new H.U.D. is pretty busy.

I'm wondering if the Energy bars on the left and right relate to the attack power of the left and right arms?

The new robot looks a bit like Vordan from RCD, but looks like there are some aesthetic changes. I don't recall his head looking like that, and he was blue not black.

The new controller is also strange looking. . . looks like some crazy ass furry / pokemon space alien or something.

I need more info!

This had better be released here!

all RIGHT! Finally, a compelling reason to dig my PS2 out of storage! Remote Control Dandy was one of my FAVORITE GAMES EVER on PSX (probably because I'm a mecha fan, but whatever).

Not really.

I've met a number of people who play stuff like Armored Core and Zone of the Enders that just can't wrap their head around the concept of Sandlot's games. To them if it doesn't control like Virtual On or Armored Core - it's "not good".

I guess it's just the segregation of robot nerd-dom.

For some, mecha = Macross style fast moving humanoid robots and nothing else.

Damn - this is exciting news. Screw God of War, Devil May Cry 3, Gran Turismo 4 and the rest - give me Remote Control Dandy SF!

You might want to try not shopping at game specific retailers. It's a crap shoot, but I saw a lot of copies of RAD at Circuit City and Toys R Us.

Meanwhile Babbages only ordered one copy - the one I bought. :/

I'll have to add to what TToB said, I've always found the super-robot side of mecha to be embarrassingly hokey, but Remote Control Dandy is just that damn awesome. You don't have to be a fan of the genre to appreciate how well they implemented the feel of controlling your OWN GIANT FUKKIN ROBOT WHOOOOOOARRRRGGHGHPLGGNDB

If this doesn't come out here, it'll be my first PSX2 import.

BRING IT OVER, KONAMI, I'LL GIVE YOU THE MONEY I DECIDED NOT TO SPEND ON MGS3! XD

It's Sandlot. There's no two ways about it.

An associate who was cozy with From Software and similar robo-friendly developers in Japan sprung this news on me about two months ago.

man, RAD fucking ruled

one of the most overlooked games on the PS2

Please, please bring this over Konami. SLAI is utter shit, and you brought that over.

:D
