Just got back, what an awesome flick! 
One of the coolest movies I've evern seen. The action in the movie is fantastic. And I really enjoyed most of the comedy bits thrown in as well! There were points in the movie when everyone was all laughing. The theater was buzzing after the movie was over as well! The most surprising element to me is how fleshed out all the action is. Every battle is refreshing and much of it over the top. So cool to watch! Definite much purchase on DVD the day it comes out! I'll more than likely do something I hardly ever do: Go see the movie again in the theater. It is a fantastic blend of action and comedy!

Unfortunately, I was a bit tired this afternoon from a big lunch, and I think the subtitles played a "let's put Ecrofirt to sleep" trick on me. Happens to me all the time when I watch subbed movies. I've got to be in the perfect condition, or I'm out like a baby very soon.

Won't be released here in Oz till God knows when, and I figured that I would have spent more dosh at the flicks anyways.
While I'm at it, I'll be picking up Shaolin Soccer too. Is Ong Bak any good? Remember hearing good things of it and I'm tossing up whether to throw it into my cart as well.

have the dvd but I still saw it in theaters yesterday...it's so much better to see in theaters than in my little 20" tv...I enjoy it so much even though I've seen it on the DVD a couple of times....love the movie, I think I like it more than shaolin soccer...

Good, but not as enjoyable as previous Chow movies.
I attribute that largely to the heavy use of visual effects over storytelling and characterization. I'd say it's about 60% Stephen Chow, and 40% tailor made for stupid fucking white men that use those shitty Matrix movies for a yardstick of martial arts quality, and not a tool for sodomizing inmates.
