This issue completely kicked ass. That two page spread of the fast ball special was simply beautiful. Its amazing how much Whedon just has the characters down pat.

Now dammit, I haven't been to the store yet! Hush!

Seriously, you had to figure the Fastball was going to be, um, well, fast in coming.

Alright guys, don't get me wrong, that's a cool cover and yea, it's the best AXM cover yet, but seriously, this month's cover of Y the Last Man kicks so much ass.

Moving on, my favorite piece of AXM art has to be the 4th-to-last page of Issue #4.
The way Cassady captured the raw emotion of that scene, with Peter running straight through Kitty as she just stood there with that stunned look on her face...just...
I want it framed.

No, that IS a nice cover. Reminds me of some of those ol' EC Comics' covers.

How does he hide that in tights!? :O Maybe it's retractable...

Ah, I dig the childish humor. "haha, metal pee pee!"

I wonder if they clang together when he runs.

I do wanna know though. When he transforms is he like a Ken doll or is he like the Statue of David?

Wow, kind of odd me and a friend already had this discussion recently :lol Anyway, i think however his form is when he transforms, that's what it stays. So if he's flexing he sustains that if he decides to go in metal form. If he's excited, well, he could go all night and give new meaning to rock hard. Only thing though, if he gets excited but transformed before doing so, I bet it hurts just pounding your woody on metal. In either case it's still a nice feature to have :)

btw, is that an actual cover? Check out her arms. They're going through Collosus' forearm and hand

Yes, that's the actual cover, and yes, that's intential. Kitty Pryde has the ability to go/move through solid matter.

oh.. yeah, my bad. Should have remembered that

That cover blows just because that pose is so overused and it's a big metal man in giant red underwear.

When Piotr goes deep inside Kitty, he really gets "Deep inside" kitty. Har har har har.

Sex with her must be frustrating...if she's bored, she doesn't have to fake it, she can just Phase through the bed. Anyway, Telepaths, Mr. Fantastic, and Shape-shifters have the best/kinkiest sex.

200 bucks that Colossus goes away again. Joss Whedon love affairs never end well.

I'll take that bet. I agree tragedy is not far off... and worse yet, Colossus is missing from the cover of AXM#7 preview... but I guessing Kitty's the one who will have to go away (because Whedon loves Kitty?).

Well, I finally read Astonishing #6, and I can comfortably say that Joss Whedon's first X-Men arc exceeds Grant Morrison's.

If you had asked me this time last year, I would've told you that NO writer could follow Grant Morrison's run, and surpass it. I guess I was wrong.
