Guard impacts have actually changed quite a bit. The recovery time for both parties is much longer, and upon a successful parry, both parties go flying back, making it more difficult to throw immediately after GI. Not sure about repels...haven't played enough.

Li Long plays nothing like before, he's actually quite basic because he's part of the bonus 'created' characters, so he has nothing fancy like Maxi.

Nice. May put a stop to parry fights, or at least lessen them.
 
Soulcalibur.com isn't that much of a Soul Calibur community other than the facts its Namco community. If your looking for a "real" SC community along the lines of shryuken or Tekken Zaibatsu, then GuardImpacts is your site.

A ton of top tourney players post there. I can't imagine any forum getting into more in depth discussion of a fighting game's mechanics then these guys do.

And please: Read. Read. Read. The guys you should be listening to in each character forum should be apparent quickly.
