Guard impacts have actually changed quite a bit. The recovery time for both parties is much longer, and upon a successful parry, both parties go flying back, making it more difficult to throw immediately after GI. Not sure about repels...haven't played enough.

Soulcalibur.com isn't that much of a Soul Calibur community other than the facts its Namco community. If your looking for a "real" SC community along the lines of shryuken or Tekken Zaibatsu, then GuardImpacts is your site.
A ton of top tourney players post there. I can't imagine any forum getting into more in depth discussion of a fighting game's mechanics then these guys do.
