Late to the Party: Project Zero (XBox]

Hi guys!

Just finish Project Zero on XBox (very good game IMO, one of the best horror game) and I've unlocked some extra.

I've read that an alternative ending is unlockable if I finish the game in Nightmare Mode, but I'm not going to play the game again now.

So what is this alternative ending? Does anybody know?

Thanks a lot. :)

I have to buy PZII soon, I was afraid each time I was playing...

Project Zero?

Fatal Frame was released in Europe as Project Zero... not sure why as I prefer Fatal Frame as a moniker.

I remember at some point reports of Spielberg looking into a movie of Fatal Frame??? Not sure if anything came of it....

Crackin game tho, and Crimson Butterfly is even better so far (bout halfway through) total creep-out fest.

Many times in this game I've almost had to change my underwear :lol ; only System Shock 2 has come close to this game for scares and creepiness IMHO.

Totally loved this game to death, played it a while ago when it was new on the PS2, I remember being bagged on the Aus PS2 forums from raving on about how great I though it was. Most thought the idea of a camera wes silly and Silent Hill 2 was the scariest thing since Jerry Springer. Their Loss...........

Cant wait to get my hands on the sequal, been meaning to pick it up for a while now.

The thing about the title is...is seems like the game series is called 'Zero' (or 'Project Zero') in Japan as well, but only for PS2. The Japanese Xbox versions appears to use the American title 'Fatal Frame'. Here in Europe, it's Project Zero for both PS2 and Xbox though.

The XBox version has 3 endings. The PS2 version has 2.

Basically, you beat Fatal Frame on Normal and you unlock Nightmare mode. You get a slightly different ending on Nightmare.

Once you beat Nightmare, and with a decent enough score, then you unlock Fatal mode. Fatal mode is XBox-exclusive, has its own ending, but also has different ghosts.

To answer your question though:

I personally beat it on Normal and Nightmare. Nightmare is a bit harder, but it makes it all the more fun. I haven't ventured onto Fatal though. Been meaning to but am debating to start Akai Chou/Crimson Butterfly or play 1 again. I'm curious about the new ghosts... new attack patterns? Mmmm.

I didn't like Fatal Frame dunno why but Fatal Frame II is a masterpiece.

Cant wait for Fatal Frame 3 (releases Nov 1) and Fatal Frame Next Gen (recently confirmed)
