So, We Love Katamari has failed to make any impact on the top 40 all formats chart, or the top 20 PlayStation 2 chart for that matter - not that a game is often in one and not the other. Is anybody really surprised? No. Are we slightly disappointed nonetheless? Yes. It's down to Shadow of the Colossus later this month to restore our faith in the taste of the British gaming public, then.

Sega Classics Collection also makes no mark on the chart, but only Virtua Racing is really worth bothering with on that, so we'll let the public off on that count. Rugby Challenge 2006 rams in at #7 though, proving that timing is key. Though we did take us a few minutes to remember that the Six Nations is on.

At the top of the chart, Need for Speed: Most Wanted retake #1, as last week's topper, Dead or Alive 4, falls to #6. The big mover is clearly Torino 2006, up 25 to #13. The Winter Olympics start in four days, apparently.

Bye bye Sonic Rush :(

And Activison said they were dissapointed with sales of GUN... what were they expecting?
It's a new IP, and it's a Western.

It seems like its selling pretty well to me... how is it doing compared to RD Revolver?

2 DS games and no PSP games?

But can you blame anyone? Except for EA.

I mean really, what were they thinking to charge Full Price for such a Niche Title.

I actually expected Katamari to at least crawl into the top 40. I know Game Central(teletext) had a bit of a campaign going to try to muster up some sales, but it's fallen on deaf ears. Crying shame.

Is katamari out? If its not selling, its probably due to no advertising and having little shelfspace.

Yeah it's out...although it's only been out for four days so I'm not sure why it should be expected to make it into the top 40

Of course it wouldn't have sold well anyway. Anyone who wanted the game would know it's a budget game in every single fucking country apart from the UK and the rest of Europe! It's even a budget release in PAL-land Australia ffs!

That's the only reason I haven't bought it. I think it's a great game but I refuse to bend over and accept paying full price (£40) for something that is $20 in America (so about 30% of the price I'd have to pay)

Katamari's out?

The publisher responsible might want to do something crazy like advertise and promote it...

Yeah. I mean Shdow the Hedgehog and Simspons Hit & Run(!!!) in the top 20?

They're budget games - this is the 'all prices' chart. (And it's not as if they are the worst games ever - they're just average.)

Next time the NPD rolls around, I'll start criticising America for buying up all of THQ's licenced dross.

What is GTA at in Europe now?

If Mario KAart can sell 800,000 in 2 months over there, surely GTALCS could be at over 500k being in the TOp 10 UK for what, 3 months now?

Sure, but Simpsons Hit & Run is 2 or 3 years old. Its had enough time in the charts now.

Yes (as in no)

MKDS is part of the DS hardware bundle too...they've been advertising it on TV recently "Out November 25th" :lol :lol (no seriously).

39 [36] Crazy Frog Racer

hang on for so long.

Maybe the expensive pricetag? The game is full-price here in EU. Namco and EA thought they could rob us, but no no.
