For some reason or another, they've already made something like 3-4 versions of DNF, each time scrapping the project and jumping to a new engine and starting all over again on all the assets.

... I think looking from that vid, they're just trying to include too much into the game, and they're trapping themselves in the cycle of; this game has to be the latest and greatest ever. So it takes them too much time to make stuff and by the time they're nearly done, the game as a whole just doesn't look as great anymore.

Well... nobody show them the new Crysis game, because DNF will be delayed another 3 years.

i still have the E3 2001 DNF trailer on my pc in it's full fidelity... stored alongside Halo 1/Halo 2 and MGS2s trailers as the ultimate game trailers of all time
