Look legit to me. No HDD it seems, btw.

For reference, a competing model with 4GB HDD + WLAN, Nokia N91 from the high end Nokia Nseries:

I'd hope it's not black. I can't imagine Apple "letting" Motorola get away with that color-scheme.

My guess is it's a prototype of some sort and final colors had not been decided upon at the time this presentation was assembled. Also, it could be misinformation.

At any rate, if Apple is involved any more than just providing software and IP to use the touch-wheel, this is *not* the design.

I still prefer to have a stand-alone phone. No sense in draining your phone's battery just to listen to music. But convergence is the future!

Yeah I feel the same way until they can make some mega super battery for cell phones that will let me play with the extra features all day and still have a few hours of talk time left in reserve.

That Nokia phone looks pretty hot though (standard for all non Ngage Nokia phones).

That Motorola phone is disgusting to look at, a real turd.

Wow, that Nokia looks hot. When does it come out?

I hope that's not the final color scheme of the iPod phone. It's rancid.

Getthefuckouttahere. If your launching an Ipod phone you make sure it at least looks like an Ipod. Not like an Xbox.

why would you assume it'd look just like an ipod? Ipods look like ipods. phones look like phones (apart from that hulk)

The only thing this does, is play fairplay DRM files, and sync with iTunes. Its a nice hook, for sure, but right now the volume of files are simple unprotected mp3s, so this is more a marketing exercise than anything.

I don't think I understand... how can you use the phone number buttons when there's the center bit cut-away for use as the iPod-ish control circle? Or is that just supposed to be for looks? It doesn't really make sense.

it sounds/looks like a cheap phone designed to take advantage of the ipod's popularity with a quick cash in. Hefty form factor and no built in harddrive, emphasis on wacky design... no thanks
