Note: On the PlayStation Store the game is listed as "Gamocracy One: Legend of Robot"

Developer/Publisher: The Bearded Ladies
Genre: 2D Platformer
Price: $3.99, some Pounds, and some Euros, but no Yen.
Platform(s): PlayStation 3, PlayStation Vita, PlayStation Portable (via Minis)
Release Date: Now Available (EU and NA)

It says Gamocracy, what's that?
Gamocracy is an event that The Bearded Ladies put on for European PlayStation Network members that allowed them to submit art, ideas, and more to the studio, with fans, and the developers deciding what makes the final game. Legend of Robo7 is the first title from the crowd sourcing initiative and was completed by a team of 5 in 10 weeks.

Story:
Legend of Robo7 follows the story of a robot sent to Earth from an alien race set to enslave the planet. But instead, he decides to save the planet from evil invaders in this 20 level sidescroller.

What's the title a reference to?
Thanks to the crowd sourcing, the game's main gameplay concept was born. You see, this robot's special. He can take his head off, and use it to jump, or attack enemies.

What...
If you don't believe me, here's the art that inspired it all:

Why is the OP so terribly formatted?

What do you mean? Is the fact everything is kind of in the centre? Well, that's because post preview unfortunately isn't a 100% truthful recreation of what your post will look like. If you're referring to why it's so barren, there's not a lot of art, and other assets I could use for a PhotoShop made OT. The game's development clashed right during the PSN downtime, so that likely made things a bit harder.

I just don't understand why you put it in such a tiny column. It makes it more difficult to read and it ended up giving me a horizontal scrollbar in my browser.

Ah, sorry about that. I was just trying to line things up with the images. With the listing update, I've removed all the indents, so everything should be fine on your end now.

Wish you could throw your head and land on it mid jump, but I don't think you can.

Just remember to grab as many extra lives as you can (get full charge, or one of the green robot face blocks) since the game has arcade style "start from the first level" game overs. Though you can pause, and leave the game as it has a save system.

Damn, that sucks. Super Meat Boy's critical acclaim game me hope that devs would finally realize how dumb a life system is in the 21st century. Apparently not.
The game play so far is very solid though, so I might end up not minding too much.
