This (seemingly) and Synduality are two Japanese Extraction games that have had terrible map/sandbox design.

Is that some kind of Japanese mentality? Is the west like 20 years ahead of Japan there?

My only issue with the first game was the amount of menu systems, currencies, and other annoyances that grew worse over time. It became like other F2P games out there where you're just bombarded with menus, currencies, updates once you login after a while of not playing.

If they can fix that issue this time around, I'm in.

Fuck yes, awesome game, awesome music (not the 1000say posted above though)

Whole soundtrack is heat.

Lots of variety and fun.

Extraction melee game sounds fun. Curious if it still has levels to climb or go down into with epic bosses.

Stoked for this one.

Could this sequel capture the essence, refine and expand on the first one, and replicate the awesome concept for the soundtrack? I dunno… Is Yamaoka involved in this one too? Also, it seems this sequel was greenlit after the flop of Deathverse. Will it be rushed? I always thought the first game just needed a bit more budget here and there to add more lore, more meat. Still, the amount of "engagement" they managed to extract from those systems was kind of impressive, considering the game probably had the budget of a month's salary for Kojima or Druckmann

These two tracks have a very similar sound to Lostprophets...a very good band with a very, very dark past.

No lie I just want an uncle death game lol.

This will work too though.

I always wanted to get into the first game, but I was late to the party and didn't feel like taking the time to learn it deeply. I really liked the few hours I played of it though. This was probably the biggest surprise of the SoP for me. I thought it looked great and I think I'm going to give this one a shot.

The original Let it Die never really clicked with me. But man, I was enjoying Deathverse quite a bit when it was around and was pretty bummed when they pulled the plug. I'll definitely give this a shot.

Pushing real-time PVP again, eventhough Deathverse was a flop. No thanks. You'd think they had learned from that, and the fact LID is still going with 9 million downloads, and continue with the same formula. Its asynchronous PVP was such a fresh twist, and continuing to upgrade the base defenses with the gear provided by free add-on content (the latest of which came out this summer) is one of the things that has kept many players engaged all this time.

Bingo. That's why I dipped out. It started to feel more like work than fun. So my hopes are low for this.

Here's a 7 minute introduction / tutorial. It looks like a linear, goofy, Dark Souls combat inspired Extraction Shooter. I can't see this grabbing much of an audience with ARC Raiders and Marathon releasing so close.

As someone who has reached floor 351 on the original tower, i really want this game to succede. Waiting for the demo to clarify some of the doubts i got, after the announcement...
