This website has a lot of cool videos. I'm sure most of you are aware of the Vice Guide to North Korea but there's a lot a bunch of stuff that is worth watching. Especially if you are bored. What are some of your favorite videos?

I haven't seen that one yet, but I will.

Right now I'm watching the one about the North Korean labor camps in Siberia.
 
I don't read the website all that often, but I like the magazine.
Can be a bit of hit and miss, but for the price, it's more than okay.
 
Thank you! I've been trying to figure out what site this was for a long time....I watched the Liberia one a couple years ago and it was pretty incredible.
 
Thanks for that. I've seen their NK stuff. The labor camps and the guide. Nice to have a list, the site isn't really the best for finding videos.
 
Gonna watch that island one now, my friend linked me it a while back and all I remember from it is that some guy out there is called general butt naked and is feared and to stay the fuck away from krokodil
 
I just finished the North Korean labor camp video (added to the OP) and it's pretty hilarious. A must see. These guys from Vice have some massive balls of steel to go to these places.
 
I've been watching these recently too.

I just watched this one. Its about Israel and Palestine. It gives you some insight outside of the American propaganda.

The Vice Guide is easily one of the top documentary series, especially online documentary series. Its only rival is Vanguard.

Louis Theroux's documentary on this subject is very good, too.
 
I just discovered their series Thumbs Up!, where David Choe and his cousin travel around American by train hopping and hitch hiking and watched it all in a single day. It's fucking amazing.

Fun fact: David Choe painted the Facebook office walls in 2007 and instead of being paid money he asked for the equal amount in stocks in Facebook, which is now valued at 20 million dollars. Crazy
 
I find that their material is very hit or miss. I urge anyone who is interested about any of the topics they cover to find some decent books/articles on those topics because what Vice shows is often very skewed.

The VICE documentary on the devil's breath (scopalamine -- world's deadliest drug) in Columbia was awesome. I showed it to my GF the other day and she decided she'd never, ever, ever visit Columbia because of that drug. Harrowing shit.

The Japanese suicide forest one is also another of my favourites. Really interesting.

Of course if you dont like skateboardng it might be a bit dull, but if you dont like skateboarding you are used to being a bit dull already :)
 
Yeah great shows, i've been watching them for the past few days. Although I wish there was an alternative link.

I'll watch the Japanese OAP porn one when after work.

I just finished watching the guide to Congo video (added to OP). It's pretty crazy to think that most of our electronics are funding militia groups there. You'd think that all these minerals would make the country richer but it's just making everything worse. Also these Vice guys have big balls to be chilling with these militia guys.

I have a lot of respect for people like this. He's 81 and has more energy than people half his age. It really makes you think how living a sedentary is practically a death sentence.
 
I've seen the ones about a Japanese cannibal, hallucinogenic frogs, general that used to be a cannibal and battled naked. Really enjoyed them, except for the one about frogs, the main guy on it was boring.
