Listen to me play my trombone!

Pretty insipid tune, but very nice playing. Trombone players amaze me, I couldn't just pick notes out of a hat like that. I can rarely hit all the right notes when they're arrayed in 88 neat little keys in a pattern in front of me.

Yeah, but I bet you have better intonation :-(.

Let's hear something from you, sonarrat!

You're okay.

But that piano playing is fucking BRILLIANT!

Actually, I'm giving my junior recital in a week. I'll be having the whole thing professionally recorded, so hold that thought.

PS - if anyone's in the SF bay area that would like to come, PM me and I'll give you details. I'd love it if people came to hear me.

I played Trombone in high school (marching band rocked btw... I find myself missing that sometimes)... but I never practiced and I wasn't very good. If I could do it over, I'd definately put more effort into it.

I was a music major my first year of college, played trombone, it's been sitting in the corner begging me to play it again, but I doubt I'd be able to even play anything above the D above the staff at this point :lol

Then I was a theatre major (lighting design) for about a semester, then I switched to engineering, then was about to go back to theatre as either stage management or acting after a semester, but the school of engineering offered me a free-ride in scholarship money so I stayed in engineering.

Oh, the paths we take sometimes.

I know what you mean. I'll probably end up being a lawyer or something shitty like that.

Its amazing to see all of the trombonists coming out of the woodwork. Didn't realize there were so many of you. And I didn't realize there could be gay trombonists, either.

Me and my best friend circa-1997 whenever we had our Pops on the Lawn concert my senior year (she played flute and piccolo):

Note the horrid shirt (it's damn shameful), and yes the hair is massive, it was known as "The Poof."

Guitar. Mostly improvisational stuff.
Oh yeah, I think we talked about schools before. I can't wait to hear you play. It'll be a lot of fun to hear my peers play (and not the ones I goto school with).
