"Little Richard, a giant in the early stages of Rock 'n' Roll and beyond, has died.

Richard had enormous influence over the genre, with insanely popular hits like the fantastically frenetic, "Tutti-Frutti" and "Long Tall Sally." The Beatles have credited Richard as being inspirational to the Fab Four."

😢😢😢😢

RIP Little Richard a true badass legend

dude was so ahead of his time. just a giant personality. like he was from outer space or something. you don't get David Bowie or Prince without LR

so many wonderful musicians are from Georgia. RIP

I met Little Richard twice, there was no off switch, he had just as gigantic and flamboyant a personality in person having a small conversation as he did on the stage. RIP

Skimming that Long Tall Sally B&W video, it goes to show how talented old school singers are.

A lot of those clips back then were done live on TV, no lip syncing, they actually played instruments, no studio shit in the back room to fix audio.

It was pure music.

Jerry Lee Lewis is now the last man standing, he outlived all of the other fathers of rock n' roll. He won't say it but he's probably mighty pleased about it.

That clip is the studio recording though and it's all lipsynced.

Just shared a post on facebook the other day of a toddler dancing to Good Golly Miss Molly. Joyous to watch.

Great music is timeless.

Rock from the 50s is timeless.

Little Richard is timeless.
