Thought the first season was pretty good. The ending was disappointing though. Will watch as I’m interested to see where this is going. Surprisingly this show seems to be moving the MCU more forward compared to their other more recent output

One of the few D+ MCU shows I liked so I'll definitely stick with it. I just hope it's actually more about Hiddleston Loki this time though.

The MCU show I was easily the LEAST interested - my buddy strongly recommended it, so I gave it a shot. From the get-go I was interested and (for the most part) it kept me along for the whole ride. Well, the end was a bit of a misfire, but eh. I am definitely looking fwd to S2. This show was my favorite of all of the Marvel shows (followed by Moon Knight, warts and all, I guess?) I suppose the point being, the ones I have the lowest expectations for, can end up being the ones I enjoy more than the rest..

Reducing expectations and hype is the only way to enjoy Marvel and Star Wars content in particular. Now I always set my expectations low on purpose and have had to teach myself to stop discussing Marvel and Star Wars shows week to week: that would be like criticizing the first 40 minutes of Infinity War or a New Hope and saying the entire rest of the movie must suck. I’ve just found that the vocal online “fan base” of Marvel and StarWars is so far off from my expectations it’s just not worth my time or energy to debate “fans” or listen to theories they’ve pulled out of their ass that are usually proven wrong or nitpicks/“plot holes” that are addressed by the season finale.

I just don’t get getting angry over fiction particularly when fiction doesn’t align with my predictions: I’d rather just sit back experience a story realizing that as long as none of it is poorly produced with atrocious acting I’ll likely get some enjoyment out of it.
