I'm surprised. I tried a hour of the remake to confirm once again that Suda51 is the biggest hack in the industry.

I've played all of his games including the visuals novels. It's all style and no substance. I'm surprised I ever beat No more heroes 1 last year.

I plan to buy and play Romeo is a dead man. Trust me I'm his audience - a full blown retard with enough income to buy shit games and drop them after a hour or two.

Lollipop played like doo doo so for it to get an anime and a sequel is mind blowing to me.

Now I'll have to finish it…

That was a long time ago. People change.
That was in 2012, and since then he's written/directed the 3.5 Guardians movies, Belko Experiment, Suicide Squad, Peacemaker, Creature Commandos, and Superman.

Nothing bad in there, and nothing that felt out of place in any of them.

>As with the original, the new title aims to recreate a world rich in dark humor. The development process will prioritize staying true to the distinctive tone and spirit of the original work, without imposing excessive creative restrictions in the name of DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion).

Holy fucking shit.

And do any of those movies have the intentionally crass, sexually charged, upskirt panty shot humor of Lolipop Chainsaw? Do you think present day Gunn would write something like that? If involved in these future projects would he push that same exact vibe of the original or would he tone it down?

The anime has potential I guess and a sequel is good news, enjoyed the first one and fingers crossed it's a good enough improvement on the original. Will her look be amended to reflect "modern times" or will they retain it

yeah the guardians movie is like peak "modern audience" marvel where everything is safe, not offending anyone, and also the awful marvel one liner

Did any of those projects need those?

Neither James Gunn nor Suda51 have made anything remotely like that since the game came out. Before Lollipop Chainsaw Gunn wrote a variety of stuff including 2 Scooby-Doo movies.

What that tells me is they're more than capable of making project appropriate creative decisions. Gunn has also spoken positively about his time working on the game.

I don't think he has anywhere near enough time to work on this now even if he wanted to, but I also don't believe his involvement would be a negative.

Details are that Suda51 and James Gunn are unlikely to be involved...so, don't get excited until you actually see something from this.

Yeah...they would need to either invite one of them back, or at least find someone else with the right creative touch. Which isn't impossible...just requires making an effort. Say, Yoko Taro could absolutely do a good job on something like this, but I can't imagine they would bring him in. Just as an example.

Didn't see Netflix involved for the anime so at least she'll look like a babe. Or, just a woman.
Netflix is all about this shit. They probably house/own the streaming licences to more video game adaptions than any other company or streaming site. I can only name a handful off the top of my head right now but look it up. Netflix has a ton more in development, too.
Castlevania
Devil May Cry
The last season of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure
Cyberpunk
Onimusha
Resident Evil
Pokemon

LMAO purple forum about to have a meltdown over that statement. Good on the team.

This is performative in the other direction. You're being pandered to.
