I know the average cost for games is somewhere between $2m and $6m with some games going up to $50m etc, and schedules being 12-24 months. But does anybody have actual sources to this info that I can cite? I've been looking for a while and am having difficulty finding one. I remember there being a report on gamasutra about this but can't find it Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Click on Table Of Contents for a list of games. Just put the game name in the search inside box along with the word "data", search, then click the first link. Works fine for the first three games. Op Flashpoint ($600,000), System Shock 2 ($1.7m) and Drakan ($2.5m). Project length, team sizes etc. are also given.
