40 - $45 avg revenue per copy sold after factoring platform holders cut nets them around 40M - $45M. They almost recouped all the production budget with just these launch sales.

Yeah, so that 400,000 copies sold on PC in 72 hours is very likely bullshit as I thought. I doubt 40% of their sales in the first 10 days were the first 72 hours on PC alone. It would mean consoles sold like 200K which I find very unlikely.

Deserved in my book.

Provided you can get it running well on whatever hardware you have available to you, this is the best non From Software souls-like.

Great game. It has its issues- mainly around mobs, enemy placement and performance (which they are rectifying pretty fast I must say), but then there are excellent parts to it much more so. It's world is closest to Fromsoft any other studio has come in terms of aesthetics, inter-connectivity and art. It's has great atmosphere and graphics. Great build variety. It's absolutely massive too.

Very much looking forward to what they do next.

Glad it was a success. I hope this studio improves in the future. I have yet to play it, will probably wait for more patches.

They are going to be making some changes in that regard too:

Today as a means of helping with enemy density, we're improving our 'leashing' system, further limiting how far enemies will pursue players from their spawn point. This helps prevent large crowds of enemies from relentlessly pursuing the player when rushing through a level.

We aim to have further refinements in Thursday's patch, including reducing the number of enemies present in areas where players most struggle. These enemies will be removed in your initial playthrough, but will remain in NG+, in keeping with the more challenging experience players are seeking.

Additionally, we are going to tweak some crowd behaviors so enemies will not swarm players as often; multiple enemies will no longer land hits at the same time, while enemies will also be a little less aggressive when swarming the player in greater numbers.

Happy for their success. Hexworks has been patching LotF like crazy. You can tell they're passionate about it.

I hated on this game pretty hard but there was something about it so I had to cop. I'm loving it. The armor and weapons look amazing. Also dig the more arcadey Souls action. LotF ain't perfect but it's really good.

PC loves soulslikes.

Good for people who enjoy these Souls clones but for me as long as FROM continue making games then I dont really need clones and besides FROM already give me my GOTY for this year.
