"Exodus, Part Two" - Season Finale
The castaways on the raft are surprised at sea by something they didn't expect. Meanwhile, remaining islanders try to blow open the hatch, and a visitor to the encampment might be a threat to Claire's infant son.

TV Guide Preview:

Lost [New]
8 pm/ET, ABC
In the battle of the finales, this one has a slight edge over Idol, if only because we never know when something big will happen on the island. And since tonight is a two-hour Lost send-off, expect a lot more to be revealed as Sawyer and his fellow passengers on the raft sail into some serious trouble, while the castaways back on the beach contend with one hell of a "security system." Not to mention the Others, whoever — or whatever — they are. — DJH

THis is my favorite show on TV, but part of me doesn't even want to see this, as it will end up in one of the biggest cliffhangers in modern history.

Idol what? Lost is the best new show on TV and I can't wait to see what they are going to do tonight. Although I dread the thought of having to wait until September to find out what's going on next.

I've never watch Lost but I've Tivo'd it for the last 3 weeks including tonight's ep...

umm.. yeah.. either download the season or wait to pick it up on DVD.. everyone I've ever known who tried to get into it somewhere in the middle has not had a very good impression of it. it needs to be watched straight through (kind of like trying to get into 24 ten episodes into the season).

Or watch it over the summer months. It will give you something to watch during those times when nothing is on, and allow you to catch-up before season two starts in the fall.

Thanks for the suggestions... but that shits not gonna happen... if the 4 eps I've recorded don't bring me in, there's just no way I'm gonna find time to recap over the summer to pulled in.

If you watch the finale before everything else, then why even bother watching the rest?

I'm tellin' ya, watch it from the beginning.

i just started watching Lost last week... just finished watching the 8th episode..

all i have to say is that
Sawyer is completely playing Kate.. they already kissed.. i really hope it doesnt go any further. :(

good show. like it i do.

Eh... did you miss the part where I said I also had record the last 3-4 eps leading up to this one?

<hissy fit on>
I'LL WATCH WHAT I WANT D*MMIT!!!!
<hissy fit off>

Hey, watch what you want man! :) But seriously, I'd say that last weeks episode was really good, but the two before that were not very indicative of the season, and without knowing the characters, you lose a lot of the impact of the show. Just my humble opinion. The show does a great job of building the characters and letting us in on their backgrounds.

Edit: And for christsake, what's the point of having a Tivo if you can't even use it to catch up in the off season. I have one too, and although things get busy at times, I've never been too busy to catch up on a few TV shows I enjoy considering I can watch them when I want to.

Seriously Darien...don't. Watch it from the start (DVDs come out in september) or you'll be watching an incomplete show.. The show is about the characters, and you'll need the full season to see it all play out.

Ok, ok I've been beaten down enough I won't watch the eps I have recorded... yet.

Will Lost be rebroadcast over the summer?

Most of us have been watching since the 1st episode, and we're not 100%t sure WTF is up with the island yet. Besides, theres tons of subtle, and not so subtle symbolism and other random hints that no doubt will have bearing on the finale. And if the last episode is anything like the last week's it will be jumping around between characters giving more insight into their background, and you would hae had to watch from the beginning to really understand whats going on with that aspect.

But hey to each his own, I guess you could always get the season one DVD in a few months.

Again?

As I was watching the show last week with my gf, I said wouldn't it be great if the guys on the boat sail off, the island retreats from sight, only to appear again in front of them. They go back ashore, only to find EVERYONE who was left behind is dead! :D

Not going to happen, but than again, I wouldn't put it past them! ;)

I've heard that
someone will die tonight and then someone else will die within the first two episodes next season.
I forget where I read that, but I recall it being reasonably credible, as with most of the tidbits we get.

Also, I found this nugget about Lost:
Lost, the hit drama series for ABC in the US, is also making history for Buena Vista International Television. Licensed to broadcasters in over 180 territories worldwide, it has become BVITV's fastest-selling TV series in the company’s history.
Not too shabby at all.

That would be insane :lol Maybe they sail off and find an alternate world, much different from the one they left behind on the plane. They've been traveling *DUN DUN DUN!!* back through time! Oh man, that would be crazy.

But seriously, I think the hatch is filled with the people that the woman with the rifle on the last episode was talking about (she said she got there with 6 other people, right? Where are they?). Either way, it's gonna be great stuff tonight. And damnit, show the "others"!

The French Woman's team was killed 16 years earlier.

oops, I meant to say dead people. I'm pretty sure the bones shown in the promos are from inside the hatch.

As for the person who dies? Probably the fat guy. I just can't see him outrunning "the others"

So she claims...

True Dat! :D We can never take anything for granted on this show.

And I thought the Alias season finale wasn't until next week. Weird that they would have it at a time that is out of it's ordinary time slot.

I'm going to be glued to ABC tonight. Lost + Alias = 3 great hours of TV tonight. :)
More Lena Olin :D

I'm expecting kickass cliffhangers from both shows... Abrams had better not disappoint me.

Ahahaha, so the woman is French in the original version :lol. In the french version, that woman is german.

Great series though, we're up to the point where
Claire gets kidnapped and the character played by Dominic Monaghan is found dead
.

DarienA: Did you tape LOST: The Journey? It's a recap episode that covers the entire season up to
Boone's
death in broad strokes. If you watch it, that should give you a general knowledge of the show's plot up to this point.

ABC has the whole episode online, if you go here:

Well at least there is ONE network out there that has some sense :)

I'm going to get so drunk watching this episode tonight.

We're promised(spoilers, but still cryptic, from Lost-tv.com/AICN):

1. As stated above, someone will die.

2. We will get our first glimpse of the monster, even if it's only a small portion. Hopefully we'll be able to tell if it is made of flesh or metal.

3. The French woman's last scene toward the end of the two hours, "Pay attention to the her dialogue", producers say.

4. The Numbers are featured prominently, which probably means Hurley flashbacks throughout one of the hours.

5. Cliffhanger ending will brutalize the fanbase.

so lets establish this beforehand. If it airs on on the east coast at 8, do we have to use spoiler tags after the scenes air???

Yes because us west coasters won't get it for a few more hours. I'm staying out of this thread till it's over.

OH MY GOD

There was a commercial and it showed
Locke
being dragged into a hole, saying "Please let me go, I'll be fine", along with him looking like something was about to happen...I hope that commercial was just a ruse.

The canadians get it like 2 minutes faster, so they should spoiler tag it as well.
