Here's a little good news for Lost.
ABC's Emmy-winning SF series Lost opened its second season to record numbers on Sept. 21, and ABC's new SF show Invasion followed at a good pace, Variety reported.

The second-season premiere of Lost garnered a 10.2 rating among adults aged 18-49, or 23.47 million viewers overall, crushing the competition in every category from 9 p.m. to 10 p.m. and racking up its best delivery to date across the board, the trade paper reported.

Invasion followed with a 6.8 rating or 16.43 million viewers, which racked up the best series score in the hour for ABC in the five years it has aired dramas there.

At the stadium when he called him brother it sounded like friendly banter. While you knew right away he was the guy in the bunker, him calling Jack brother didn't sound significant (unlike his talk on faith and miracles and "see you in ANOTHER LIFE"). But when he says it the second time, he puts emphasis on it so Jack recognises him. Which again implies that he's not the past Desmond or whatever.

Looky what I found:

It looks like the symbol in the center has the shape of a swan. Also, there definatly appears to be a word that ends in "..MA".

Anyone know the name of Sun's father's company?

That's a snake, dude. And it's getting ready to bite.

It's a Vahana, carrying the Dharma wheel of life.

Accordning to Indian mythology, The Vahana carries or transports a god or goddess.

He called jack brother because he is Jacks brother (why do you think his dad went to australia?)

Jack's father slept got a prostitute pregnant just before he died in australia and the boy grows up hating his life so he goes back in time to Kill jack because it was all jacks fault his dad went to Aus in the first place. makes perfect sense ;)

Here's a possible explaination of the numbers or it's just another wild goose chase the creator of Lost have put online:

There is a book (theory) called "Genetic Mirror Theory and other Natuarlly Occuring Phenomenon," by Marsille Roussau. Someone posted online this:

I recently found an interesting natuarlly occuring thoery found in our world that states everyone has a mirror image somewhere in the world. You may have heard of this. Its called Roussau's genetic mirror theory, and I must say it is very interesting. Roussau's genetic mirror theory says that everyone in the world has an exact twin somewhere, however according to the theory you never encounter this person, by laws of probablitly and other natuaral occuring phemnomen. Its the theory that was devised by a French Mathematician named Marseille Roussau in the year 1988. He used a series of numbers to explain his theory. Now I know you're not going to believe this but here goes.

4 8 15 16 23 42

Let me explain...

The 4 stands for 4 degrees of separation (not 6 or 7 as commonly stated.) Roussau believed that everyone in the world was connected by four different people. So in theory could meet yourself by using four different people connected to you. Example: Your brother's, boss's, neighbor nephew, knows your mirror. Hard to believe, I know but keep reading.

The 8 stands for the eight continent, or the only place in the world where you could meet your mirror. He calculated it to be somewhere in the south pacific. Now we know its not actually as large as the other contintents but its used figurtively because everyone in all 7 continents could meet there mirror on the 8th universal continent.

The 15 stands for the chances of you acually meeting yourself on this place, as in 15 out of 4,815,162,342. Look at the second set "815." Ring any bells? Interesting huh?

The 16 stands for the maximum amount of people that could encounter thier twin all at the same time. Think about the number of main characters.

The 23 is the number of years apart your twin and yourself are. You are not the same age as your twin. By chance and probablity it takes 23 years exactly for the same genes that made you to be connected again to form another you.

The 42 stands for the maximimum number of years your twin and yourself can be alive at the same time. However people do die at diffferent times so thats why everyone isn't dead at 75. For example my twin was born on Sept. 6 2003 b/c i was born on Sept. 6 1980. Now that doesn't mean i will die in the year 2045, I could, but its not set in stone. My twin could die when he is 16, and then the whole thing starts over again.

This is all very complicated and I don't know how well I explained it but the connections with the show are too coinidental to not be real.

Roussau and his team (wife, included) went to the 8th continent. You can figure out how they died and why by the numbers and equations. It also fits with every character. You can predict when they will die. There are others on the island who are twins of the survivors, but have been there 23 years longer.

There is a book Roussau wrote 16 years ago in 1988 when he came up with the theory. Thats where I got it from.

Now, try this & you'll see more of this theory play out:

Yeah, that's a nice theory...unless it's made-up. People have been searching for the book containing this theory, but it's nowhere to be found. Leaning strongly towards fake.

Yeah, I'm leaning towards it being fake.

I know everyone and their mother already figured out what Walt said during the premiere, but just for canon's sake I suppose:

Malcom David Kelly (Walt on Lost) was on Jimmy Kimmel Live tonight and confirmed that he said "Don't push that button".

didn't have time to read the entire thread, but I noticed a lot of people talking about "Walt's powers" earlier on in the thread.

I just finished plowing through the first season (and episode 1 of the second season) over the last 2 days and I don't remember Walt having any powers.. did I miss something?

The only thing I remember was him telling Jack "don't open it", which while prophetic in nature isn't really a power, and I don't recall any other instances of him using this "power" either. Was there more, or did something just blow right over my head?

basic walt spoilers
-He's reading a comic about a polar bear.....it appears

-His dad says he'll find vincent as soon as it stops raining....it stops raining

-The bird he's reading about that he wants his "dad" to see in the flashback smashes into the window

ah, forgot about the bird completely. Didn't even notice the comic book bit either.

also assumed the raining thing was just a coincidence.

Thanks for pointing that out, sort of puts a whole new light on Walt for me.

More Walt powers-

He seems to be able to read minds & see the future - when Locke touched him, he suddenly knew about the hatch and warned against opening it.

Also able to roll what ever he wanted in that game he was playing with Locke and Hurley.

Okay ... I just watched the first and second season 2 episodes tonight (DVR).

Anyway, where did that Dharma pic come from posted earlier?

I recall seeing it 3 times during episode 2 ... but I don't recall a red background.

1). The junction/electrical box when Jack first enters the 'shelter', or whatever it is.

2). On Desmond's shirt. I assume he found the shirt down there. I doubt he built this ... he found it.

3) I don't know if anyone noticed, but the Dharma was 'tattooed' on the shark's tail fin (dorsal fin?)

Granted, I didn't look all that close. I noticed they left the camera on the junction/electrical box logo for a while, so I assume at least some significance. However, I wasn't watching out for that sort of thing all that much. When I saw it on the shark though, that made it quite clear it is significant.
