LTTP: BioShock Infinite, Binary Domain and PoP Forgotten Sands

So this month I've played these 3 games.

BioShock Infinite : I really liked it. The art style , graphics, the storytelling was really great. The combat becomes repetitive after a certain point but remains fun. Elizabeth is so cool. So an awesome character.
I also finished both the Burial at Sea DLC which were also very good however I see now how many people were not happy with it for story reasons.

Binary Domain : Like Vanquish I also enjoyed this one although killing normal robot enemies became tiresome. However the boss fights were really cool. The story was really nice too for this kind of game. I liked the aspect of selecting your team members for a mission and increasing your social ranking with them. The humor was quite good too. Big Bo and Faye were my favourite characters.

PoP Forgotten Sands : Heard mostly bad things about this game but I was pleasantly surprised. The platforming is really good and satisfying in this game once you get the ability to freeze water. The story is bad but you can ignore it because the platforming is very good. The combat is bit easy and basically button mashy without too much strategy however some enemies, you need to break their guard and then attack which mixes things up a bit. There's also skill tree which gives you different kinds of powers and abilities so it keeps things fresh as well. Overall its a good game.

I have only played Forgotten Sands in this. I personally disliked it if I'm being honest. I left it inbetween. The combat was not fun tbh and the movement seemed very 'stiff' and more like Assassin's Creed than Prince Of Persia. I might give it another shot soon.

Yes sometimes the camera angle can become bad due to which you mis judge your jump and fall to your death. However thanks to the rewind mechanic you can just retry right away. Also there is a Wii version which is considered by many to be a superior game and its very different from the PS360 versions. You may also try that.

Binary domain is great. I'm kinda shocked it tanked so hard in the US. It sold approximately 25k in its first month, apparently. Also heard the media reception was somewhat lukewarm which kinda surprised me. That probably didn't help it either. Just another reason to doubt whatever scores game reviewers try to feed people.

I will never understand why people were shitting on Bioshock Infinite. Such a beautiful great game!
Because it wasn't what we were promised. It supposed to be open world immersion sim like Bioshock or Prey, but they changed that into standard shooter.

I liked all of these too.
POP is the weaker one of the 3 but I really enjoyed the platforming in it, specially in the later areas. I wish more modern 3D games had good platforming instead of the boring, zero challenge autopilot formula of Uncharted becoming the norm.

I'm glad they did. Didn't make it any less of an awesome game
Why "glad" though? I mean I really liked the game too and I think it really did not deserve all the hate, but I certainly would have loved to be able to explore Columbia freely.
The world was so beautiful, I would have really liked to have more open parts with atmosphere similar to the beginning of the game with people and such. I liked the game and though it was great, but not being able to explore it more was my main disappointment, not sure what there is to be "glad" about.

nethack is my favorite dark souls clone
My main problem with it (aside from playing it on a base ps4) was the overall design. I know the building you’re in is supposed to be like the shining and all confusing to navigate and understand. That’s great from a storytelling perspective, but annoying from a gameplay perspective. I never got a sense of place like I do in other game worlds.
