I slept on this series despite it having David Boreanz, who has always delivered. I think it came out around the time I cut the cord for network TV and I blew it off as a soap opera-y look at the military, kinda like The Unit which was often more focused on the wives than the operators, but DAMN the first season so far is really really good. Pretty high production value, for a TV show it is hitting levels of special effects and locations like a B level movie.

But more importantly it handles a lot of personal issues really well. If you have any kind of high pressure job, doesn't have to be military, then this show might help. If you were/are military and are dealing with the shit that calling can bring on you, then I recommend it. Or police, EMS, whatever. It's good for your spouse and kids as well, to give them a window into at least a little bit of what it's like to have to sacrifice family time for the job.

They drop "Tier One" waaaaay too much though, good grief at times it's like the writers get a $10k bonus for each time they can work it in :P

Anyone else digging this show?

Watched it, enjoyed it. Especially when it switched distribution and they started dropping swear words. Made things a bit more intense. The mix of missions and personal issues was pretty good and spread out. It may have gone on 1 season too many though. I also used to chuckle how often they re-used sets for their bases around the world.

Interesting characters which are explored fairly well makes the show work.

I enjoyed it so much I got sucked into Fire Country just because of that one character.
