Best. Western Film. Ever!

Wow, what an incredible series. This ranks up with Band of Brothers as some of the best television mini-series I've ever seen.

I never saw this when it was released back last year, but thanks to OnDemand (in HD too!) I was able to see it all. The intertwined stories among 'indians and cowboys' are extremely well done, even if the editing is off at times. The acting and character development is top notch, and the cinematography is superb. The cast is full of talented performers as well.

Simply put, a must see series.

I watched it back when it first came on TNT. I liked the first couple of episodes, but after that, the series really went downhill. It was too fast paced and I didn't like how it just dropped a lot of characters and storylines without resolution.

It was a good show, but not great. Didn't live up to my expectations for the most part, and I agree that it lost steam over episodes. Especially when they switched actors for the same characters half-way through. I know they were suppose to have aged, but I'd have rather seen the orginal actors in make-up over new actors who looked nothing like the orginals.

Mentioning this series in the same breath with Band of Brothers should be a bannable offense.

I somewhat agree that the series lost focus on the last 3 episodes. But I though the foundation set by the first 3 episodes was really strong to carry on the rest. Obviously this is not to say that they (the last 3 episodes) were bad episodes, but not as great as the first 3. I also agree that the switching of actors for the same characters (young vs. aged) was the wrong decision.

I still was super impressed with the stories, acting, and cinematography. The set of challenges BoB had were different than this, and obviously, a direct comparison can't really be made, but I still think this was a superb series and the level of quality is comparable to that of BoB.

Amazing series, surprised it does not get as much attention.

(sorry for the bump, but i think this series deserves more attention)

I see that, however if we are going to include TV I'm afraid I'll have to side with someone more (at least a little) based on reality.

... cocksucker.

Edit: holy shit, didn't notice how bumped this was.

Holy shit that girl Rachel Leigh Cook doesn't like like she's aged since I first saw her in movies in the late '90s.
