Technically, this was the last Lunar game in its series to come out. Anybody played it? Just wondering why WD never bothered to translate it.

I hear it was crap, although I've never played any of the Lunar games. This was a Saturn remake of a Game Gear game, right?

It's not a very good game. It was outsourced as a licensed game or something and when it was turning out very embarrassing, GA put in-house staff on it to put a tiny smack of polish on it so it wouldn't completely sully the LUNAR name. Even so, it still turned out pretty bad. Don't play it if you're diabetic, it will send you into shock pretty quickly.

imo, it turned out nicer looking than the remake of lunar II.. =P it's at least on par with the other two SS versions of the lunar games. seriously, it's not a bad looking game. it has a massively high encounter rate, though.

i haven't had it in years, however. i sold mine back when the ebay value was ~$80. now it's much, much cheaper but for some reason i don't care to repurchase it. maybe it's because lunar is dead.

it would probably be better to find a better game to play from the freaking dozens of PS2 JRPGs currently on offer, rather than pining over a mediocre entry into a dead series.

seriously, if WD brought this over, i wouldn't even have the time to think about playing it.

if you want 2D RPG jollies on PS2, buy growlanser generations and atelier iris.

good question. if it turns out to be some fucking new remake of lunar 1 and/or 2, i will merely take a shit in the DS and then close it and hand it back to the publisher's marketing department. i am sick of lunar 1 and i never liked lunar 2.

i used to want one. but, christ, it's been ten years since the last new lunar game. give it up!

i think grandia has kind of stolen game arts' attention. it would be nice if they resurrected lunar as a 2D, portable series, keeping its intrinsic character. i am not altogether optimistic, however. =P
