I heard their latest album, Before the Dawn Heals Us, yesterday and will be giving it many more listens in my car. It is truly freaking great. I love discovering new music when it's this good. Parts of the album remind me of Pink Floyd, while the other parts are really ambient or upbeat and inspirational. (tracks 3 and 4 are a little slow and the only light blemishes on an otherwise fantastic album) I'm listening to their first album right now and it sounds equally good. M83 is awesome. :)

This poster pulses with an appeal so broad the typical restraints of our societies fall by the wayside.
I could never really get into the new album. It was just a bit too poppy and incohesive for me; I have a hard time listening all the way to the end. Dead Cities is a real masterpiece, though.

I guess I slightly prefer the last album to this one, but Farewell / Goodbye & Teen Angst are truly stellar tracks.

I agree...although I also think "Teen Angst" is pretty damn brilliant.

I played a song from the first record during a DJ set a couple of weeks ago. A girl walked up to me and told me the song "sounded like two stars falling in love."

I think she meant it.

check out Mono as well, not the british electropop band but the japanese post-rock band.
Where can it be found? Have to be imported?
