Does NetStumbler have to be set to some special settings or something? I ask because when I tried it just now, my wireless router wasn't picking up on the DS whatsoever.

This is going straight off a PCI wireless NIC rather than through my access point, so it's not going through a router at all.

You could send/stream DS Wireless Software through your network. Somebody ought to get a packet sniffer and start looking at the packets the DS is sending, I figure the guys at Xlink are doing this already.
