I played and enjoyed Machinarium, but the score is what stayed with me. I listen to it all the time.

I've always wondered about these vinyl editions of game soundtracks. Are they just for people that think vinyl is retro and cool, or are they for DJs?

There's also a free bonus EP if folks havn't heard that yet. Also, I can totally understand the vinyl fetishism, but if people just want the music it's available on bandcamp for $6 too! :)

And it seems like there's the download version included with the vinyl, so you get it both ways if you pick that up!

Was it any good? I played the game (like everyone should), but nothing stuck to me from the score :-/

Wait, are you serious?

The soundtrack is the most memorable part of the game for me and many others! In fact, it is one of the best soundtracks of any game released this gen. It's up there with Ecco the Dolphin in terms of ambient brilliance.

Both, I would say.

I'm not a really big audiophile but vinyl really does have its own sound. Do I spend alot of money to get that? No. But when you listen to a really good album on vinyl it just has this really great... body? I don't know how to explain it. I'm sure there are people out there who just really want that full sound, and have money to spend.

in gamer terms: imagine if your favorite game had better graphics and sound when it played from a retail copy vs. a download. Not only do you get the superior product, but you get nice packaging, making it fun to collect.
