DCX Award for GM of the Year - sokantish
Sokantish was on a gravy train with biscuit wheels. Narrowly missed the playoffs in the first season, a dangerous pass game because people had to be wary of AP and then... he trades AP and drops to last place in the worst division in the league! lesson learned brother!
"....the fuck?" Award - NFC South for letting DCX in the playoffs as a division winner
Me: Holy jesus. What is that? What the fuck is that? WHAT IS THAT DCX!?
DCX: Sir I made the playoffs sir!
Me: You made the playoffs? How did you get there?
DCX: Sir I won my division sir!
Me: And are you allowed to make the playoffs?
DCX: Sir no sir!
Me: And why not?
DCX: Sir because I throw 50 interceptions per season sir!
Me: Then why did you win your division DCX?
DCX: Sir because my division let me sir!
Me: Be-cause your division let you. DCX has dishonored himself and has dishonored this league. I have tried to help him. But I have failed. I have failed because YOU (NFC South) have not helped me. So, from now on whenever DCX fucks up and wins the division, I will not credit him. I will blame all of YOU! And the way I see it ladies, you owe me for one DCX division title! Now send your draft picks to other players in the league!
NY Giants award for wild card superbowl run - bigAT, NY Giants
Well.... he had to do it all on the road and he did it! Can he win back to back or is he doomed to fail at a repeat like so many others have!
2011 Green Bay Packers award for biggest Fraud - FMT, 49ers
15-1, #1 seed against a team I was 3-0 against in madden 13..... all for not! Shameful.
Dan Marino award for best player failing to win superbowl - LJ/Bills
Is LJ the best league player? Yes. If you were to put him up against any other league player 10 times, he would come out on top more than he would lose in every instance. But he just hasn't been able to put together a full championship run.... yet! And except in NCAA where he won! so there's that.... but then again DCX also won an NCAA title.
Andy Reid award for playoff excellence - coldblooded, eagles
Like clockwork, the eagles win their division every season. They usually have a bye. But then, somewhere along the way, they just can't pull out that victory. Wildcard, divisional, championship or superbowl, some unfortunate set of circumstances befall the eagles without fail. Perhaps one day....
Ben Roofles award for taking advantage of someone who can't fight back - Ramirez, Steelers
From punting multiple times inside the opponents 20 to avoid suspicion, to abusing the AI to win awards, ramirez has no shame.... just like the real roofles!
2011 Detroit Lions award for improving a playoff team - MrBob, Bears
In season 1, bob made it all the way to the NFC title game and fell inches short of a trip to the superbowl. Surely he was ready to get over the top (stallone style) and win his 2nd championship. But then, much like Titus Young, he started fucking up on purpose for whatever reason and ended up outside of the playoffs as usual!
2010 NFC West Award for greatest division winner - Eznark, Packers
We thought it couldn't happen again, but here it is! A division so bad and disgusting that it allowed a 7-9 champion to get into the playoffs! At least EZ had the respect to get blown out in the wildcard instead of carrying on the charade like the seachickens did!
MrBob award for timely gaming - DMczaf
Was it school? Unlikely! DM doing some big time catching up on his TV watchin'! Seemed like he was the last to play.... every week!
Whipping boy - Ramirez against smokey
Twinhead? It looks like smokey has made a fool of ramirez time and time and time again this year. Will ramirez ever fight back?
Most disappointing season - Rors, Raiders
Here we have an elite player who doesn't win 10 games and doesn't make the playoffs! How? Why does this happen? We may never know, but I suspect it was Crows fault
A champion among us - Levious
Some of you may or may not know, but levious plays in another franchise. And in that franchise, he is the superbowl champ! It may not be the big leagues, but neither is NBA 2k, NCAA or anything else!
loveable loser award - rinse, jags
Who can hate the jags? Rinse loses games, plays on time and never says "gg, but". You are a valuable addition to the league rinse!
hateable winner award - crow, broncos
I don't personally hate my future division comrade, but it seems that others do! Gimmick run plays, complaints about defense that no one can tell me about, and so on! Poor crow!
best off-season trade - redskins acquire MJD
Hmmm.... but best for who!? Redskins didn't even resign MJD to much dispute. Sometimes things just dont work out!
2008 Patriots award for "We should've won 1 more game!" - colts/rams
2 veteran warriors missing the playoffs by the narrowest of margins. Tough way to go down! Next time win another game!
Ramirez Award in Stat Padding Excellence: Wellie/Maurice Leopard
Depending on your definition of stat padding, this either is or isn't! Of course there can never be another Ramirez in the category of actual stat padding. He stands alone. But 80%+ of wellingtons passing TD's were to this fellow! Seems familiar!
best use of spreadsheets for drafting purposes - bluemax
If you need info on the upcoming draft class, this is the man to see! Don't worry bout no scouting!
best availability - Cola
Better stay up late or wake up early if you want to play the elusive Cola!
biggest surprise team - chargers
In the toughest division in the league it's usually a fight between the raiders and broncos.... but not this season! The chargers, with their $20 mil QB, came from out of nowhere to earn a wildcard!
"We talkin' bout players!" Award for proof that having good players doesn't make you good - livewire
Ray Rice, Peyton Manning, Ray Lewis, Ed Reed and on and on and on. No matter who livewire has, he can't reach the elusive winning season. Further proof that coaching matters more than the players!
Delay of game - splat
was the magic in splats playoff run that he made the league wait extra time so everyone was rusty!?
No. But it was a good try!
Best new coach - Drizzler
Yes, he is the only "new" coach for this season but he also took a 1-15 team to a respectable 7-9!
best losing streak - dolphins, 9 games
strangely, the longest losing streak in the league is the dolphins.... 9 straight! at one time, pheeniks had a winning record! is it just bad luck? tough schedule? excessive pot smoking? who knows!
holiday playoff hope killer - trasher
Would trahser have made his first ever playoffs if he was around to play all of his games? Probably!
subtraction by addition award - luke, adrian peterson trade
Now i thought long and hard about giving luke the best passer award.... and then i looked into the numbers and i just couldn't justify it. Why? we know luke is a great passer, always at or near the top of most ratings. so why? because he got AP and perhaps felt the need to run a different style of offense! for whatever reason, his passing #'s dropped and this is my guess!
best passer - CB, eagles
Now, with that said, what i did find was shocking: Mike Vick led the league in passer rating and was only a percentage point or two behind Luck for comp %! What else can i say!
best rusher - wellington, Rams
Demolished the entire league with his stable of backs! No one was close! You'd probably run a lot too if you had bradford as QB!
