I didn't see it listed on PSN.

Congratulations, it's free!Speevy said:I will buy this.
I think it was Tuesday actually, title is out of date. And its free-to-play with real money "booster packs".Bufbaf said:What?
also: What, tomorrow?
With single-player campaigns.MoxManiac said:I don't think it's a MMO - it seems to be a traditional 1v1 (or more) competitive multiplayer game./
RickA238 said:So I know there was some confusion about the genre earlier in the thread-is this an MMO or not?
*sigh*Bossman said:You can't really do much in the game if you don't spend any real money. A decent deck costs about 100 dollars.
Bufbaf said:Read a bit in the official boards, and yeah, this looks (again) way to greedy from SOE's side to even try it out.
Well, some day, the perfect MtG videogame version will rise. Some day!
I always wanted a Magic game similar to the old Yu-Gi-Oh titles (the ones that were actually good) where you opened in-game boosters using earned points, but the game contained every card in existence.Minsc said:It already did. Now it just needs a re-release.

Diomedeskun said:I loved that game. I still own the original release and the first expansion, but I can't figure out how to install the patch that makes it playable, as every site that has the patch just seems to link to a torrent for the game.
Why wont they just makes this kind of game? Its all I want from them.Minsc said:It already did. Now it just needs a re-release.

I never got into Magic: Online because the idea of paying money for virtual cards when I already spend like twenty bucks a month on real cards just seemed ludicrous.Toma said:Because they dont need to and they can sell a shitload of boosters in an official game with microtransactions. I dont think they will ever make a game like this again. Our biggest hope is a patch for SP to include all the cards. Doesnt seem to be possible for now though.

It did get a re-release. They improved the interface, removed deck building, and made it more console friendly. Opinions on the game are pretty polarized. The company that made it is hiring for another MTG game, possibly a sequel.Minsc said:It already did. Now it just needs a re-release.
Apparently playing with older sets is quite cheap, but I agree that I'd rather just buy the cards. I've been playing Duels of the Planeswalkers because I can go crazy on buying boosters, but I just need a real Magic fix.The_Technomancer said:I never got into Magic: Online because the idea of paying money for virtual cards when I already spend like twenty bucks a month on real cards just seemed ludicrous.
