Mai Hime for PSP first pics !

A fighting game based on Mai-HiME! Finally! The problem? I don't think Marvelous is well known for its high quality games and this one doesn't look as nice as it should be. They're no Capcom/Namco/Tecmo. Still, if it keeps the spirit of the anime intact and provides decent gameplay then I'm buying it.
It should be noted that this game will be a COMPLETE ripoff. The first PSP game will have exactly half the cast in it and is largely incomplete. There will be a second game released later with the other half of the cast in it and is also largely incomplete. It's nothing more than a cash-in and it doesn't even look like a very good one.

You misunderstand, this is a case of TWO games being planned, each with the exact same engine but a different set of characters splitting the cast right down in the middle. It's stupid, and it's lame.
That's part of the other part of the game, the "minigames" that you play in the story mode. They probably suck.

Hahaha, that sounds...yeah. Reminds me of the double dip that Mega Man Battle Network is pulling these days... Put out two versions that are essentially halves of a game, then release another version shortly afterwards that integrates them (they did it with 5 b/w, and then consolidation in DS). Only this time it's sequels, sheesh.
Probably, but it looks a bit more interesting than the dial a combos and button mashing minigame supermoves that flood the anime fighting game circuit.

I think it looks pretty good, the characters are better than Bleach PSP but the bacgrounds are a little bland.
Have to wait and see how the gameplay is.

mai's breasts are nicely drawn, no question. I surpriusingly greatly enjoyed the series. though from the sounds of it am passing on this sham. Let me know when Mai HiME 3 ships.
oh, for those interested in owning the DVDs, it looks like the first Region 1 volume ships in March.

Finally bought a new PSP, but then pushed the demon onto someone else. Jesus.

Mai-Hime is a great anime with music from Yuki Kaijura (Who also did .Hack Music).
It's about a bunch of girls and there called the Hime's (Princess) They all have power to summon up a... well child or sorte.... well in other words it's like they can summon up a mystical beast that partakes to there ability in some way... It spanned 26 episodes and a sequal Otome Hime which has nothing to do with the first M-H universe in other words an Alternate Reality.
It's a very great show really, I enjoyed it. The first series was lisensed by bandai a while ago however there taken there slow slow time on it I think... hehe
By the way the girl with orangish hair her name is Mai and the girl with the blacker hair pressed against her is Mikoto.
Mai has a Fire beast named Kagetsuchi and Mikoto uses a sword. There is also another girl the one with blueish blackish hair thats pretty long and shes shown fighting in the one screencap of the game. She uses a beast called Duran which... well to explain it's like a wolf with lots of guns.. so I guess it's like a bucue (Gundam Seed) or like a command wolf (Zoids) lol..
Umm well her name is Natsuki the girl I just described and she uses guns too.
There goes my summery... which was quite hard since I haven't seen it in a while since it got lisensed and all but it's still quite valid info.
