He will give me money to spend in this crap?

No, I cant accept this theft.

We spend a lot of money on this hobby, and they still want us to pay more and on non-physical objects? No thanks

What does this even mean? Is he selling equity in his voice, and someone who owns the NFT receives an equal share of any revenue he produces with it? That would at least make sense, but he also doesn't need an NFT to do that.

The Cockatrice

I'm retarded?
Calm down guys, he already apologized for that shit but that doesn't mean he is reversing his deal as he most likely got some big bonus with that shit but at least he got ratio'ed real bad.

I like how he tries real hard to not make it sound like a cashgrab
"n..no guys, this is, like, to help new creators and empower voice actors....or something. It's good ok?"

Nice to see Troy Baker properly outing himself as the pretentious asshat we all thought him to be :ROFLMAO:

I used to find him likable in interviews and such, but after hearing him in a less scripted setting on a couple of podcasts he really comes across as extremely pretentious and full of himself

This will end up being ridiculous. I can see people selling NFT's of their penises, shit, and whatnot.
You mean I could get paid for my dickpics?

This NFT shit will get out of hand real fast.

I swear, voice acting has the most delusion of grandeur sufferers than any other job.

The napoleons of the acting world.
C’mon now. Voice acting is harder that you make it sound, and the guy is seriously good at it.

Isn’t this sort of already a thing? I just assumed, because for my birthday in 2020 since my friends and I couldn’t meet in person for physical gifts, my friends e-mailed me something. It was a personalized Happy Birthday video message from Sombra’s voice actress (since my friends knew she’s easily my main in Overwatch, and also I find her Spicy Latina accent, err, *cough*, ahem, appealing). Like, I sorta follow the explanation for what NFTs are, kinda, maybe not, so would this be considered a video/audio NFT from a VA?

Regarding the present, when we finally reunited in person next year and eventually brought it up, my friend mentioned how one particular wrestler he knew did personalized voice messages and would stay in character during them. Thing was his character is really mean so while most fans were cool with it, a few were taken aback by it. I allowed a brief moment of pause and then said, “I mean, if Sombra’s voice actress wants to talk down to me, I’m certainly not going to complain.” No joke, all four of my friends’ heads immediately went down to the table to cover their laughter. I’m not usually good at comedic timing on the spot, but that worked out great.

Just imagine auctioning a voice NFT of ScarJo talking dirty:

I have stated countless times I'd drop 10,000 dollars on an Operating System that is voiced by Scarlett Johansson.

And still, Silicon Valley remains silent. Outrageous. I WANT SCARLETT OS, GODDAMNIT.
