Making workable CDR copies of original PC games?

Ok, so here's the deal. I have an original copy of WC3 and TFT expansion pack. A friend of mine has an original copy of both as well. We're both looking to get some games together on battle.net. The only problem is that she's lost the TFT disc but still has the TFT jewel case which is where the original CD key is printed. I tried burning a copy of my TFT CD but the game does not seem to detect the burnt CDR copy in the CDROM drive. So is there any way to circumvent this?

Make sure you're using decent software for this. Just google a bit and you'll find a nice freeware program for making exact copies of the game.

Once TFT is installed, you can use the original WC3 disc to launch TFT so you shouldn't need to make a copy of TFT.

Thanks a lot! I didn't realize that.

Anyway, I tried CloneCD and the damn thing didn't work. Wasted 2 CDRs trying to make a working copy of the TFT disc.
