No, I changed it to none. I saw it change to none before it suddenly turned off. Bad design choice allowing something like that to happen. But thanks for the tip, I'll try that.

Yeah, it's a problem some people run into, but MAME32 really is pretty user-friendly and almost any issues are answered at the Mame FAQ.

reading this thread gave me an urge to check out whats up with EEMame. To my suprise they have ported it to nokia communicator. I took few screenshots:

To be honest the playability isnt that good with communicators keypad. On N-gage EEMame is much more enjoyable. Anyway, Bagman rocks! =)

Midnight Resistance...

How does one go about configuring the controls in MAME? The arcade version, along w/ Forgotten Worlds, Ikaria Warrios, Heavy Barrel... All used radial controls/sticks.

Hard to emulate that w/ a pad or regular joystick.

Any suggestions?

Anyone remember a game where you had to chop down trees? IIRC, Mario was your boss.

I played this at birthday parties as a kid, and I thought it was fun.

!!!!
Thank you so much, i've never heard about this game, but the strider analogy forced me to go look for pictures, and holy sh!t does it look like capcom's legendary action game.
Looks awesome too, i NEED this

I play forgotten worlds with the mouse subsitituing for the disc and a pad for the joystick. It works pretty well.

Somebody said lumberjack but I remember this game being called "Timber!"

Mmmmm.... Hot Rod.
I think I'll try getting MAME this weekend :)

Hope I can get Thunder Cross, Bubble Memories and Sunset Riders up and running too.
Sweet dreams are made of this.

Shoulder buttons will work great if you're using a pad. Turn left, turn right...
If you're using an analogue pad with 2 sticks, then the right stick will work perfectly, provided the game doesn't require more fire buttons than the shoulder buttons you have on your pad.
That's what i do in mameox.

Holy shit, Osman - Cannon Dancer is actually the 'real' sequel to Strider, i read it's been developed by pretty much the same team that did the original for Capcom.

Ok, i need this game.
It doesn't work with mame, though...any suggestion ?

OOPS I GUESS DCHARLIE WAS JUST PLAYING HIS CANNON DANCER PCB -- BECAUSE HE OWNS EVERYTHING -- AND ACCIDENTALLY MENTIONED IT IN THIS THREAD! :(

Haha, nice. I haven't kept tabs on the game in long while, so it wouldn't surprise me I suppose. Brings back memories... Actually I think the stuff on the other boards was from DCharlie himself, maybe he does have the PCB. :p

After further research, I'm fairly certain there's no working emulated version. Now someone hook me up with some functional B.Rap Boys and Osman and we're all set here.
