I don't know why, but recently the 'tab' button to show the options of the game, set the controller, etc, it just doesn't work anymore. I can't find what I did to make it stop working, but nothing happens when you press it.

So now when I enable a joystick, the pad works, but the buttons are still mapped to the keyboard. Any help on this would be great.

Try resetting to the default settings.

You probably accidently changed the key that brings up the options (TAB). I once accidentally changed it to ESC and instead of bring up the options it closed the game down. I was SOL so I simply reinstalled MAME32 make sure to backup all my configs, the .hi, and all that stuff. If there's a way to restore defaults, I don't know what it is, sorry.

I already tried resetting so that didn't do it. I'll check the keys, and if not, I'll have to find it again somewhere.
