What's the deal with her being a lesbian? i saw most of her last episode, and then she delivers the line "is this because I'm a lesbian?" and i was shocked. i hadn't been following that season, so i don't know if i missed something important. Did they even mention it previously, was it hinted at, or was it just tossed in there in her last episode?

That particular (that Matlock posted) ADA was on SVU and she had to leave due to being put under Federal Protection.

And no, it hadn't been mentioned before that episode.

That was awful writing there, because Sutherland (the ADA who claimed she was a lesbian when she got her ass rightfully fired) did mention "boyfriends" in previous episodes. But oh well, I didn't like her anyway, she was too annoying.

Elisabeth Rohm was hot as hell, though from all accounts nobody liked her on the show (like that matters to me). Jill Hennessy gets my vote though...she's not just gorgeous, and not just a canuck, but she's got an identical twin called Jacquline, who hosts a medical show on a local channel here.
