I would go with an unknown actor for black panther. I can't think of any famous black actors that would fit the bill.

That is a really weird choice, but I'm not against it.
The article claims due to the close relationship between Jessica Jones, Iron Fist, and Luke Cage, they wanted to cast a group with chemistry (it claims those two roles are also already cast). Definitely gives him time to bulk up though.

Isn't Luke Cage supposed to be...gigantic? Don't get me wrong, I love Dule Hill and he's got the acting chops.
I don't like how they talked shit about Terry Crews in this story but I'm interested to see how Dule Hill will pull this off.
He has plenty of time to get with a trainer and get bigger.
Dule is only six years younger than Crews. I was going to say I was glad they went younger. But I guess they really didn't actually go that young.

Count me in the crowd that loves Dule Hill but I just don't see him as the part, physically. If he can bulk up though, I'd be all for it.

Because no offence, but it's easier to bulk up than it is it to train some musclehead to act. And while Crews would be perfect he's currenlty a regular on another show. So there was never any chance he'd be able to add 21 more episodes onto his plate (13 Luke Cage + 8 Defenders.)
