So assuming all these series do well and the Defenders is a hit (I am assuming the four series will be done over the course of 2015 and 2016) they will obviously look at doing new seasons of the shows, but what other characters would you think are likely for new Netflix series?

The Punisher is the obvious one as he's never really been done justice on camera, but there's plenty of others.

I'd like to see a Netflix phase 2 of sorts with supernatural characters like Blade, Ghost rider and Moon Knight. The good Doc S. could even show up and lend a hand.

I want a Daredevil season 2 honestly. I don't want him to be forgotten.

Otherwise Punisher, Blade and Ghost Rider. I want to see Marvel's take on them.

The only Punisher I want to see on the big screen is this one:

There have been interesting takes on the Punisher before, but he's usually just a humorless sociopath.

Daredevil filming taking place in Brooklyn right now.

Turkey's Nest Tavern, located at 94 Bedford Ave., was transformed into "Josie's Hell's Kitchen" on Wednesday, featuring a neon sign and Irish flags. A location scout told two witnesses Wednesday that the shoot was in fact for "Daredevil."

Josie's is the name of the bar "frequented by criminals and other lowlifes" in the series, according to The Marvel Comics Guide to New York City, and is where Daredevil visits when he's trying to get information from criminals.

The next night, the studio was set to use a handball court in McCarren Park to shoot "Daredevil in a black costume" beating up a "Junkie drug abuser," a notice said. It was also scheduled to use an alley on West Street near Greenpoint Avenue that night to film a scene where a biker pushes Daredevil into eight motorcycles, a notice said.

Then, on Saturday, Oct. 25, a warehouse on Greenpoint Avenue in Long Island City was set to film the scene of a fight between Daredevil and "a ninja with a kyoketsu-shoge knife on a chain." Flames and an air cannon with debris were involved, the notice said.

Really curious to see what kind of effects they use to portray how his blindness actually works. The movie didn't do a bad job at this, but I wouldn't mind something fresh, either. Also hoping the actual combat is choreographed to DD and not just generic spliced together shots of punching and kicking.

I watch Person of Interest, i like the show but the action scenes are shit. I wonder if Chris Nolan or Edward Scissorhands is direction the action cos there are cuts everywhere.

DeKnight has been answering a few fan questions on Twitter. Among other things, he says Bullseye won't be appearing, and addresses a point I bitched about by implying that there will be an in-universe explanation as to why MCU Hell's Kitchen is a crime-ridden pre-Giuliani anachronism instead of the gay/yuppie playground it is today.

That's pretty cool. I recall reading that Hell's Kitchen has really been gentrified and one of the things I liked about DC comics is that places like Gotham don't have to bend to real life. Gotham can always be crippled by crime, doesn't have to deal with the impact of 9/11 etc. I was wondering how they were going to tackle the fact the area has apparently cleaned up. But then again Bendis managed.

I feel like it will be something along the lines of "The attack on New York in the Avengers fucked up a significant portion of New York and this is the fall out on the streets."

Moon Knight and Punisher for sure.

So... Hell's Kitchen is where Giuliani moved all the homeless to in the '90s.

No Bullseye? I'm guessing they're hoping for a second season? Or maybe plans in the Defenders movie?

I actually wonder if each series will get a second season. Daredevil, sure. Iron Fist and Luke Cage? Maybe. I could totally see Jessica Jones being a one-off though, maybe getting absorbed into Luke Cage.

I'd love to see a Moon Knight series. I've always been interested in that character.

Bendis didn't "manage" so much as he just wrote it that way because of Frank Miller inertia (and also, I don't think he's ever lived in the city, which doesn't help).

Yep. The Battle of New York gives them free reign to alter the landscape any way they want.

To be honest, apart from Dardevil, I have the highest hopes for Jessica Jones and believe her series to have the most potential. I wonder who they will cast. Funniest choice: Jennifer Garner.

You may laugh, but she has proven to have some decent acting chops when she cares about her roles and I would love to see her as JJ. It would be a nice change from her odious romcom work. She may be a bit too old for the character, though.

DeKnight had little to do with the actual shooting of Spartacus. He was head writer, but he was in Los Angeles. The producer in charge of the day to day filming was Lucy Lawless husband.

He knew what he was doing. Bless him.

Well they could merge Luke Cage's and Jone's series for obvious reasons.

I really like her, so I fully agree. I'd love to see her star in another show called Alias.

Kinda doubt that. I've seen him listed as creator/showrunner/exec producer. I'm gonna guess he was a lot more hands on than just writing.

The Chitauri invasion of New York destroyed Hell's Kitchen. Kingpin is in charge of rebuilding it, but at the expense of the poorer residents of the neighborhood.

So you're saying he was in charge on set in New Zealand, while at the same timing heading up the writer's room in Los Angeles? Damn he's good...

My guess is Daredevil goes to season 2, while Cage, Jones, and Iron Fist get folded into a single Heroes for Hire show.

I recall not being interested in the Alias books because I thought it was based on the TV show, i didn't even hate the show, I just didn't particularly like it.

It was pretty obvious from his run that he was more inspired by Miller than by any attempt at verisimilitude. Granted, that could describe most of the post-Miller writers up to Waid.

I might need to reread it. I wouldn't be surprised if there was a joke about Hell's Kitchen being gentrified in the same way in the Punisher they said:

Punisher said:
Been walking the streets all night. But the city's dead. Times Square is filled with tourists. The park is filled with cops. Not five years back I could've gone to either and been up to my eyes in scum. Tonight I may as well have stayed home.....Giuliani's got a lot to answer for."

There we go. I knew there was an obvious answer that I couldn't quite think of, and that's definitely it.

Netflix Phase 2 could then maybe be:

Daredevil, Season 2
Heroes for Hire
Moon Knight (I'm really crossing my fingers for this one...or Cloak & Dagger :D)
The Punisher
Defenders, Season 2?

Forgot about Cloak and Dagger, they would be good too :D
and maybe...just maybe a Runaways and Blade show, unless of course they choose to make a movie instead.

That's a good slate. I would love a Moon Knight series that takes its cues from the Ellis run.

I'd also love a Shang-Chi series, but I wouldn't mind if he just had a strong recurring role on Heroes for Hire.

One man's BPRD.

What do you mean by this?

His latest series by Ellis was excellent, and the Maleev/Bendis run before that was excellent as well and both had interesting takes on the character.

Perhaps not in your taste, but I don't think he could be described as "boring".

The whole "supernatural investigator of the occult" thing has been done way too many times, IMO. It added nothing to the genre besides some artistic flair.

Stuff like that doesn't really consist of Moon Knight's history as a "street level" hero though. Maybe the Ellis run, but it's still mostly crime-focused. I can see how he's derivative, but only in the way he's kind of like an ersatz Batman.
