Hilarious idea, I'll be disappointed if this isn't in it now. They better have a moment when he first makes his costume yellow and red because he has no idea what color it is....hilarity ensues.

I wonder if Jessica Jones' childhood crush oncan be worked in slyly somehow withoutPeter Parkerviolating Sony's rights to the property.
Marvel has the tv rights to Spider-Man so they can do whatever they want, though they more than likely won't do anything with them unless they get the movie rights back, as well.

I'd suspend my disbelief for the sake of a great joke and a nod to the comics.Because Matt Murdock is a moron who doesn't think to ask anyone beforehand what color fabric he's working with.
So they can make a Spider-Man tv-show for Netflix and let it be part of the MCU (without him showing up in the movies) ?
Honestly I think Spiderman would work best on TV, don't get me wrong a lot of his big stuff would be great on the silver screen, but Miles Morales street level Spidey would be amazing.
Maybe in Jessica Jones? We're not even getting Bullseye in Daredevil, who'd I put in before Purple Man.
Wait, is this 100% for sure? That would be awful! Bullseye is one of my favorite villains and has such an incredible history with DD (my favorite hero). Is there confirmation he won't be there or are you just assuming this just because no one's been cast as Bullseye yet? They already have Kingpin, they probably don't want to feel like they're recycling the Daredevil movie with Kingpin/Elektra/Bullseye.

Its confirmed by the showrunner.

Can somebody point me in the direction of a guide on this "street-level" classification?
I hope so.
I doubt a big name would pop in but if they get someone like Sackhoff (who's now apart of the Netflix family) it would certainly be doable
Sackhoff isn't a big name at all. Blunt would be a big name that would be expensive for a multipicture deal. Sackhoff would be right in Marvels price range. They're not getting a big name for Danvers unless it's someone on a downward path in their career, like Downey Jr. was before Iron Man. They're going to want to lock someone up cheaply and for a while, and I don't think any "big name" is going to agree to that.

Oliver Sava at the AV Club suggested Mockingbird as a Carol friend replacement for JJ which would actually make a lot of sense.

I like the sound of that. A lot.
Oh shit. Yes. Yes please.I see Marvel going with someone like Tatiana Maslany (i.e. someone with a good amount of buzz and/or nerd cred around them, but hasn't actually blown up yet).
I can support anything that involves more Adrienne Palicki on my screens.
I could see them making Jones an ex-SHIELD agent here to adjust to the MCU's confines.
I don't know that JJ is old enough to be a part of that "Silver Age" though, is she? They might not have to. I think that with Age of Ultron and Ant-Man, they're going to introduce a plausible sort of Silver Age which we simply never saw between WW2 and Iron Man 1. If they make it believable that there were always heroes operating in secret, and that society at large was simply just not aware of it, then Jones would fit right in.

An MCU silver age would span like 70 years. She would only need to be a youthful 40 and that can be hand waved away by her powers/ origin.I don't know that JJ is old enough to be a part of that "Silver Age" though, is she?
non-superpowered, martial arts or military-styled superheroes that often deal with urban crime in nyc or an nyc analogue.
things like:
batman
moon knight
punisher
shang chi
elektra
and their derivatives

Just say she was active in the 90s.
What are the other "levels"?
What are the other "levels"?
Marvel doesn't actually have the TV rights to Spidey. As far as I know someone speculated as much from the fact they do have animated tv rights back and conflated that with a live action tv rights. They aren't the same thing obviously.
So the Raph and Crew are ageless?
Comic nerd joke.

I wouldn't say non super powered. They just deal with crime more so than saving the public from disaster (not that they dont help).
Ummmm what is up with that Daredevil costume?
Doesn't look anything like the design I am most acquainted with.
Were you a comic book fan before you got the role of Jessica Jones?
I wasn't. It's so brand new! This is like my first interview. I wasn't, but I am now reading the Jessica Jones comics and devouring them. And [I'm] hooked. I don't think I've been so hooked on something since Serial. So now I feel that way about the Jessica Jones series. I can't wait. I mean, as soon as we're done today, that's what I am going to be doing. I'm really excited about Jessica Jones. It's so fucking cool. It's so cool. I can't wait to watch it.
I know this won't happen-but in the comments on another site reporting on Kristen Ritter being announced as Jessica Jones, someone said to get Aaron Paul to be Iron Fist.
I'm actually now seriously hoping for that-I think I can see it!
