I've been looking at this game after its initial launch and it has bled a lot of players. Moreso than I thought was possible. The game started at 600kish players at a time, and even in January 2025 had 300k.

It's now at about 60-75k players which is still a healthy amount IMO but it seems the game keeps bleeding and isn't done yet.

Anyone here still playing? What are you hoping for to keep playing or come back to it?

I think for me the lack of role queue really did make me ditch the game in the long term and I still think it's a good idea to offer it to see if it brings folks back. I also think smurfing, and certain characters needed major tweaks.

I personally plan to fire it up for the first time since launch to try out Gambit soon. Former grand master player.

I love so much about it but they need to fix the jank... way to often you just die out of nowhere.. see the replay and it's like.. yea that's not even remotely how that went down.

I actually just recently uninstalled it cause I couldn't keep up with the grind, and I've got other things I wanna play in the backlog. I thought the game was fun, and I was excited to see new characters being added. But I just felt like stepping away would be best ATM.

I feel like the bleed was to be expected. But depending on who they add in the future, it'll surely bring back other players. I feel like Deadpool will bring back players because of how popular he is these days.

I don't see it dying, at least not yet.

I am just being curious but what are you grinding in this game. Everything is available and the battlepass seems pretty forgiving.
There were a few of the extra events that I acquired cause I wanted the extra cosmetics. By the time I'd wrap one, another would appear, lol. Like Queen's Codex, Ancient Powers Awaken, etc. Between that, other online/service games, and the backlog it felt like a lot.

It was always an inferior Overwatch.

The Marvel branding helped it way more than I expected it too, but eventually the dust settles in this space. Inferior products typically fail here.

It was way better than Overwatch, characters and character designs were much better at least.

Also good to see it as a third person so I could see my characters more.

Maining Angela followed by Captain America and Punisher.

It's better to wait before jumping off of a cliff with this take.

Also I was hoping the "concurrent Steam count" trend would die for multiplatform games in 2026.
The trend line has been pretty steady since launch. I don't anticipate this holding strong as new, better titles keep entering the market.

I put a few hundred hours into last year but I simply became overwhelmed with all these events and new things being added so quickly. The more important reason I left was nearly no one wants to play tank and support and most dps wouldn't even change to help with countering. They knew one character and that was it.

I played mostly support with some tanking and only dps when we already had the other roles filled. Though I did use Thor a lot when I did play so I still play tank support still

I'm pretty much addicted to it at the moment. Daredevil and Angela are so much fun. Far more enjoyable than current Overwatch thats for sure. Original overwatch before Blizzard got me too'd might have been better, but not now.
Looking forward to the chaos Deadpools gonna bring, Elsa Bloodstone should be fun too. Hard to go back the original roster after playing the latest ones for a while as they all feel a bit basic compared.

It was the opposite for me as I love tanking in this game with Angela.

I always hate tanking or being a tank role in every other game but Angela made me like tanking so I pick her more than 90% of the time.

Super mobile and could fly. Both air and ground stance, could also block. She's the most fun tank not just in this game but all other games with a tank role in my opinion.

I play it casually so don't care a lot about new content, the grind or jank. Never spent a dime on it and I don't expect to do it in the future. I like it more than overwatch but I'm not sure why. Maybe the characters?

Haven't played in the last few months because I've been busy with BF6 for my MP fix but don't plan to uninstall either. I enjoy it more when I play with my friends and they haven't been available lately either.

Better characters than Overwatch, but the developers have no idea how to write code so the netcode and mechanics are almost entirely broken. They also reset you down 12 ranks after each season forcing you to grind through the sea of trash retards. Ultimates are also way too powerful with most of them being completely foolproof, barely even requiring user input and having zero counterplay when used against the overwhelming majority of heroes.

I never understood the appeal. I think overwatch is at least a polished turd. The mechanics in this game just always felt horrible. Never felt satisfying killing people.

I just gave up, I think because I wanted to, then life got in the way and then I didnt want the rage sessions. Might go back. Still grateful for such great designs after lots of crap takes of the characters (even within the comics).
