I get that but even bale was jacked to an extent for the dark knight and rise

why cant you have both? Just because you have a built guy that looks like he could take on a group of thugs doesnt mean it risks lack of character development

i think pattinson not having muscles can imply that the character is not concerned about physical conditioning, i think that would make him totally unique

we knew bale's and affleck's batman did strength training and that set a certain tone on what they're about, they were even well trained in martial arts

so if we don't see pattinson batman doing any kind of that stuff and we see him as more of an obsessive tinkerer type who is constantly building cool stuff and obsessing over local criminal bosses, it could make him a lot more distinct
