I'm currently going to school for 3d animation and only taking basic classes at the moment. I wanted to get ahead and start learning animation on my own. I was wondering what version of Maya should i start with? Any other tips for a new animator are appreciated!

Seeing as you can get the latest Autodesk products for free as a student - go with the latest version lol
Can't remember if 15 is already out, didn't use it in a while and I'm on my phone.

Can't give you tips though, I'm still new myself haha.
