Hell yeah I'm in. Let's hope it has more gore this time

Will it be more bloody this time?
Considering the trailer it looks like it, and Statham probably pushed for it. I don't know if it's PG13 or R tho

Nothing stops an R rating cold like China and children.

One of my most anticipated movies of 2023 and I'm not even exaggerating or joking.

First one was a stupid amazing ride, this one looks even more stupid and amazing.

Lead female is a downgrade from Bingbing Li though,.

Looks more of the same madness from the first. Which pretty enjoyable, dumb fun 😂👍😎

Guess I'm in, but hoping for some more shark eating people and things action 🤞

Weren't the books done 'seriously' ? No tongue in cheek and cheesiness of the first movie (and apparently the second as well)

It's crazy how this dumb shit is directed by Ben Wheatley. I thought he was all artsy fartsy. How did this happen?

You never heard of "one for me, one for them"? Directors do this to make a bunch of cash so they can go on and do weird shit with Reece Shearsmith in the woods. Ben was originally going to do Tomb Raider 2 for the same reason.

Incidentally I guess I have to watch The Meg now. Sword a blood oath to watch everything Wheatley. Chatted to him a few times at premieres, really nice chap.

This seems way worse than the original meg movie. This is like sci-fi channel big monster movie level. I want to rewatch the first movie now to see if it was even half as ridiculous as the sequel looks likes its going to be.

According to some youtube comment I saw yesterday the first movie and this one are based on novels (seems like there's 6 books). Anyways seems like good mindless fun.

Damn, that looks like fun. The effects even look pretty good, though this kind of thing is way better with cheesy practical effects.

I see other creatures get loose, surely one is a barracuda? Maybe a goblin shark variant and whatever that thing is with the big glowing blob on it's head for a little nocturnal horror.

At this point Meg3 is gonna have an aircraft carrier with a big bite taken out of it as the poster....and I really really really hope they have a genetically engineered Sperm Whale called Moby BigDick as the hero with Statham lashed to the side with a peg leg :P

I read The Meg years ago. Probably right around when it came out in the late 90s. Fun little book. I remember way back then they were talking about a movie adaptation. Looks like he wrote some sequels.

There are 8 books in the series lol.

I just learned this yesterday - I read the first book and its sequel, I enjoyed both and thought that was it. Come to find out its a goddamn saga apparently.

Anyway, I can't wait for this movie.

Make that bread, Ben

This movie needs some Matt Damon.
They tried to implement Matt Damon, but sadly, the runtime was over and they apologized that they couldn´t include him this time, but hope to have him on board in M3G.

First Meg was amazingly good. Will def. watch the sequel when it hits home theater. Just keep swimming, just keep swimming ...
