The orchestra and reveal kinda made me feel like this would be something a little more interesting. Seeing it just kinda looking like Mega Man 11 was a little disappointing.

This is awesome but 2027 is insane lmao.

I LOVE Mega Man! So excited. Granted, it looks pretty similar to MM11 but MM11 was awesome so let's Rock & Roll.

I wonder why it's not called Mega Man 12 though...? That bothers me somewhat. But it's so nice to see the boy back.

new Megaman great...

but I am highly disappointed that it's not only looking a lot like MM11... but also is a 2027 game being announced now? very weird.

Capcom should finally bring the Mega Man main series into 3D properly

lol after that big hype reveal it's just another AA-looking 2D game. I mean I'm sure it will be good but come on. And not out til 2027

Looking forward to the new Mega Man game. I'm guessing it will use MT Frameworks again as it is planned for the Switch as well. Confirmed Switch support until 2027.

I don't get why people are weirded out by this. Did you all expect everyone to drop the Switch 1 like a rock or something? PS4 support until 2027 is the actual insane thing.

I'm not weirded out by it at all, It great to see Switch 1 will have years of love.

Here is a high quality video if OP want to update their post.

Edit:

Yo Design contest announced!!:

Some things I have noticed in the trailer:

  • Mega Man's running and sliding animation are different. Arms and legs are more fluid in motion.
  • Mega Man looks...different too. More crisp. The design on MM is definitely a step up. Most likely, Capcom is using the RE Engine here FINALLY, instead of the old MT Framework engine they've used.
  • The way MM moves in the stage has the 8-bit feel to it. I can't fully put my finger on it but I noticed that immediately.
  • Fully Charged Mega Buster shot looks different with some slight recoil to it. Now has sparks coming from it.
  • THE LIGHTING IS ONE POINT. COT DAMN.

Yeah his run animation was the first thing that caught my eye. Way better this time around than his run animation in 11.

It's cool but I honestly expected them to follow up with a new modern Mega Man game. Sort of like how RE has the remakes and the new games alternating.

I want Mega Man X but it's a 50/50 collab between Capcom and Platinum.

2027 makes no sense. Thought it'd be AAA let's make Mega Man the new Astro Boy level stuff. This is very plain and ordinary much like Mega Man 11. And will be for Switch 1 too, in 2027. Meh. Why no rad 2D animation like Capcom's legacy, like Wario Land: Shake It or something more inventive.

Mega Man series needs to go away…130 games is overkill I think. Also only a dozen of them are great.

I started off on Mega Man 1 and loved the series until I didn't.

More like 11 = awesome!

2027 = 😢

Holy shit at all the whining in this thread! You guys have no idea what a good game is do you?

a 3d megaman game at the level of quality of the 3d mario games would be nice, but capcom puts all their resources into resident evil, and other games

On the one hand, glad Capcom remembers Mega Man exists, on the other hand, Classic was never my favorite sub-series, i know it's the first one and popular but come on, we couldn't get a Legends 3?

A new X or ZX...or heaven forbid, a new Mega Man series entirely, i swear, once i woke up and saw the title, i assumed it was either a fighting game or a brand new Mega Man series and got excited, then i saw the trailer and realized they just refused to call it Mega Man 12 and some hype went away.

I'd rather have Capcom * Inticreates since the latter were former Capcom employees and they know their shit.

If they are just now doing a contest for robot design (probably going to be only 1 or 2), this must be late 2027. Or maybe I just don't know how long it takes them to pump out polished themed levels.
