Megaman 2 inspired by esoteric buddhism?

sprsk

force push the doodoo rock
So i was sitting in japanese art history today writing down review shit for an upcoming exam when my teacher showed us a slide from this piece called the "womb world mandala". This is the Womb World Mandala

This wasn't the first time i had seen the image, but this time she said something that sent a shockwave through my brain and i don't know why, but instantly made me think of megaman.
In esoteric buddhism there are a bunch of fucking gods that represent things in the world. In the womb world mandala you see the boss buddha surrounded by his 8 main buddhisatvas. Each buddhisatva is pointed in the 8 cardinal directions. JUST LIKE MEGAMAN 2.

I just blew your mind didn't I?

Lets look at the facts.

Here is a picture of the megaman 2 boss select

All bosses are in the 8 cardinal directions, each of them representing a thing that occurs in our world. The only real difference between these guys and the buddhisatvas is that they represent different shit and are robots. Also note that Dr wiley is like a fucking evil buddha.

So what does that make megaman? Well one could assume megaman is like a modern human being, trying to put a stop to all this religious nonsense. Or you could say that wiley is just an evil incarnation of buddha and megaman is an enlightened being trying to restore the peaceful nature of buddhism.

OR MAYBE HE'S JUST A CRAZY ROBOT OUT FOR REVENGE

Well, I guess this means that Dr. Wiley is ultimately good. And megaman is the evil force.

This is why these games are so hard. Only the truly evil people are able to beat them.

"Bodhisattva" is the correct term.

Being that it's a Keiji Inafune game (Onimusha, etc.), it's probably not THAT much of a stretch.
i can never spell buddhist terms in indian, all these crazy consonants.

He only designed the characters and made some sprites =P .
The game was designed by A.K. (Arthur Knight?) , who probably is Tokuro Fujiwara (GnG)
