The demo was really good: great action and variety! I think this could be a great game.

Right now I'm about 85% sure that on January 12th I'll pick up Mercenaries along with Resident Evil 4. The final push might end up being the reviews. I know the game is "hawt" from the impressions I've heard based off the demo, I just need to know how hawt.
This is one of those games where even gameplay videos look exciting.

Wow! This game looks amazing! I've only seen a couple screenshots over the past six months and didn't really know anything about this game until a couple days ago. I'm watching some of the video trailers on the website and I didn't know the scope of this game was so big! Looks fun!

Some good dialogue in the commercials I hope the final game is as witty. I know someone mentioned Planet Moon before, and while they aren't behind this game (Pandemic is), the commercials have the same style of humor!

I'm looking forward to some reviews on this one. It looks very promising, but I've heard so many games be called a "GTA Killer" or "It's like GTA, but better..." Plus, Lucasarts has been kinda hit and miss lately. Still, I'm holding out hope that this is going to be a great game.

I already have it pre-ordered. Fun as hell. It's like a big arcade-like military playground. More up my alley right now than anymore "sim" titles. Going to be an expensive day at the game shop.

I've been following this game for a while, and it seems as if it has shaped up to be an awesome experience. Can't wait to try it, might just rent it though...cause I smell a bomb/price drop in its future, so I'll pick it up on the cheap. Yea, I suck, I know.
The demo was pretty fun. Nothing too original; just a third person shooter with the typical "Halo" control set-up, although you really can blow just about anything up, and call down an airstrike that can level a fairly large area if done in the right spots. Definitely picking it up, but RE4 takes first priority.
And why is Grand Theft Auto even being compared with this title? It's NOTHING like GTA. It's a THIRD-PERSON SHOOTER. You know, like Brute Force, Armed & Dangerous, Max Payne, etc.

Does anybody know if this title will support LAN or link play. This would be the PERFECT LAN game (i.e. what Brute Force could have been). I'm, assuming since it's multiplatform there's no chance in hell. I keep playing the demo over and over again. I may just have to snag this one up.
I only saw that ad once, and I thought it was the best game ad ever. :lol How to sell guys on games? Blow shit up. It reminded me of that Vigilante8 ad from back in the day. I saw the commercials earlier today and they are flat out awesome. They actually got me to go play the demo that also rocks. It's weird, a week ago I knew pretty much nothing about this game and now I think I'm going to go buy it next week when it comes out.
